0Junior CMS Developer
2 jul.Tech Pipeline
Junior CMS Developer
Tech Pipeline · Barcelona, ES
Teletrabajo . Javascript PHP CSS HTML CMS
Tech Pipeline is currently assisting a prominent Spanish client with restructuring their internal content and data workflows. We focus on fixing the specific points where information gets lost or where outdated approval chains stall the business. In this role, you will help us clean up how content is stored and routed within their systems to ensure their operations team has a reliable source of truth.
About the role
The Junior CMS Developer is not here to design marketing splash pages or high level strategies. Instead, you will be getting into the backend of a content management system to fix how data actually moves through the business. Our Spanish client is dealing with a backlog of outdated entries and broken routing rules that prevent their financial and operational teams from getting accurate reports. You will work remotely to audit these systems, update configuration files, and make sure that when a user enters data, it goes where it is supposed to go without manual intervention. This is a practical, technical role focused on identifying friction and removing it.
What you will be doing
- Reviewing existing content schemas to identify where redundant fields are causing confusion for the operators.
- Updating routing rules within the CMS to ensure information reaches the correct teams for approval.
- Reading system logs to troubleshoot why specific data transfers are failing during nightly updates.
- Cleaning up backlogs of metadata and tags to ensure internal search functions return accurate results.
- Updating technical documentation so the client team can manage the system on their own once our work is done.
- Testing connections between the CMS and other operational tools to verify that data remains consistent across platforms.
- Assisting in the reconciliation of data between legacy databases and the new technical setup.
- Identifying specific integration gaps that cause manual work for the finance or logistics teams.
- A basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and the way web structures are organized.
- Clear, direct writing skills to explain technical fixes to people who do not have a developer background.
- Familiarity with how databases or content repositories store and retrieve information.
- Strong attention to detail for tasks like verifying field types, character limits, and data validation rules.
- A logical approach to solving problems, such as tracing a broken link or a misdirected file back to its source.
- The ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while staying active in written team discussions.
- Willingness to look at the actual code and configuration rather than relying on abstract summaries.
- Prior exposure to CMS platforms like WordPress, Contentful, or Strapi through personal projects, internships, or school work.
- Basic knowledge of scripting, such as JavaScript or PHP, to help you read and understand existing system logic.
- Any experience in an operations or administrative role where you had to navigate complex software daily.
- A permanent, full-time position that is fully remote, allowing you to work from your own environment.
- Direct experience with technical problems that have a clear, measurable impact on a business.
- An attractive salary that is competitive for the entry level market.
- Professional growth through hands on work with complex enterprise systems and data pipelines.
- A work culture that values deep work and clear documentation over constant meetings and interruptions.
- The chance to learn how different business departments, such as finance and logistics, depend on technical infrastructure.
We do not believe in long meetings that could have been an update in a shared document. Our team stays close to the technical reality by checking configurations and reading logs, not by looking at high level slide decks. We want to fix the problem and leave the client with a system they actually understand how to use. When you work with us, you will focus on concrete fixes rather than broad strategy. We value your ability to find the specific routing rule that is causing friction and to correct it without adding unnecessary complexity to the system. This role is about making things work better for the people who use them every day.
