FRAGRANCE SCIENCE is a recognized manufacturer of fine and industrial fragrances, dealing with business partners in Spain and abroad since 2004. About 90% of our products we export all around the world, mainly to the countries of the Middle East and Africa. We are searching for a client-oriented leader for the role of Logistics Manager to be currently based at our office at Olesa de Montserrat (Barcelona) and in March 2026 (approximately) to move to our new factory in Castellolí, close to Igualada (Barcelona).
Role Description
Our Logistics Manager, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and CEO of the company, assures the effectiveness of logistical operations and correct delivery and stocking in the Company of products needed for production (raw materials, drums, etc) as well as delivery of finished Company’s products and/ or documents to our clients, meeting transportation cost accuracy and timeliness targets.
Coordinate and follow-up of national and international shipments organized by the Logistics Specialists, which schedule and track orders’ status daily (dates of collecting, shipment, departure, and arrival), reporting on shipment details to the Sales Team, to key clients directly and to other departments, when required.
Conduct and/or supervise trouble-shooting for any incidence with transport, customs clearance, export documentation, coordinate preparing drafts of commercial export documents, their appropriate legalization, shipment, and delivery to our clients.
Manage activity of the Stock and Expedition subdivisions of the Logistics Department, delegate and supervise tasks of Stock and Expeditions Coordinators and coordinate work of their teams and collaboration/ communication with other departments. Performance management, organization within the team, supervising training of new team members. Track and analyze KPIs to ensure efficiency and profitability.
Stays up to date with transport regulations, ensuring compliance with Company’s policies and legislation. Development, analysis and constant control of the internal processes, contribute to improvements in operation/ communication flow where Logistics Department and subdivisions are involved.
Define and implement strategies to optimize logistics operations (export/ transportation, warehouse and expedition), aligning them with business goals and always ensuring high service standards and meeting client expectations.
Budgeting and financial control: manage operational budgets and cost-control initiatives. Analyze financial data and implement corrective measures and optimization.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics/Supply Chain or International Trade.
Excellent English and Spanish is a must.
Previous working experience as a Logistics/ Supply Chain Manager, excellent knowledge of export procedures in countries of Middle East and Africa.
Excellent problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills.
Team-leader oriented to clients’ requirements and company’s culture.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and handle multiple projects.
