Role Overview
Reporting to the Executive Director, Commercial, and Country Manager, Spain, the Commercial Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day management and generation of income through commercial partnerships, new business opportunities and hospitality that relate to 54’s owned & operated assets within the region, with a specific focus on the Hexagon World Series Padel events.
The successful candidate will also be working with the Country Manager and Executive Director and other 54 teams globally on commercial opportunities across multiple other assets, including LIV Golf, PIF Global Series, various European football club sponsorship propositions and a host of other initiatives with sports rights holders, brands and Government agencies.
The Commercial Lead must boast commercial experience and an understanding of the professional sport ecosystem, its stakeholders, rightsholders and suppliers. They must boast strong personal motivation, be comfortable managing conversations and negotiations with budget decision makers and C-Level executives, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. They must also possess keen eye for detail and ability to work to tight deadlines with excellent communication skills.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Delivering budgeted annual revenue and margin targets across 54 O&O assets and Territory Divisional targets
- Securing new commercial partnerships in priority categories
- Work collaboratively with our clients, team and Managing Director in the proposal development and negotiation phase, to ensure all proposed benefits can be delivered and are in-line with our strategy
- Proactively manage and service the commercial partners to ensure delivery of objectives
- Work across the 54 ecosystem including all internal departments, our partners, media, and key stakeholders to support the commercial partnership prioritie
- Proactively identify opportunities and report regularly to the team
- Proven experience and success in a commercial environment
- Proven success at building excellent working relationships
- Strong connectivity into brands who have invested in sports partnerships
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- The ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the business
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work unsupervised
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
- Competitive Salary
- Annual Discretionary Company Bonus – up to 8% - 3% Company & 5% Individual - Plus Commission
- 33 days annual leave (+ public holidays), pro-rated
- Working hours will be from09.00 to 17.30 with an hour taken for lunch between 12.00 and 14.00
