110Talent is working with a well-established client to hire a Freelance Data Centre Engineer to provide on-site support across the Greater Madrid Area. This is a practical, hands-on role covering installations, maintenance tasks and urgent support requests within data centre environments.
- On-site support in data centres (hardware and infrastructure tasks)
- Install and remove equipment (servers, network devices, PDUs)
- Cabling and patching (copper and fibre), tidying and labelling
- Basic fault checks and safe power cycling as instructed
- Equipment/component swaps where required
- Capture serial numbers, port details and photo evidence when needed
- Provide clear updates and confirmation of completion for each request
- Proven experience working in data centres
- Confident with racks, cabling, hardware swaps and structured processes
- Clear communication and strong attention to detail
- Own vehicle (covering Greater Madrid)
- Own tools suitable for data centre work
- Able to work as a self-employed contractor and invoice for hours worked
- Right to work in Spain and able to pass standard site access checks

Your duties
As a competent and loyal ambassador for Syntegon Telstar in your region, Spain, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding service to our customers on site. Your responsibilities include the installation, commissioning, training, troubleshooting, testing, analysis, maintenance, repair and training of Syntegon packaging machines and related products.
- You will carry out inspections, maintenance, repairs, training and analysis on our customers' machines.
- In the event of machine downtime, you will provide active support in solving problems on site or on the phone (helpline) and improve machine performance.
- You present our service products, such as modernization kits or spare parts packages, to customers and advise them on the advantages and disadvantages. You act as a link to the Service Sales department.
- You will regularly take part in internal, external and manufacturer training courses to maintain and further develop your technical expertise and skills.
- You will provide support during machine acceptance tests at the factory and at our customers' sites.
- As a Field Service Engineer, you will train customers in the proper operation, modifications and modernizations as well as the basic adjustment and safety rules of our machines.
- You have completed technical vocational training as a mechatronics technician, electronics technician, industrial mechanic, electrical engineer, industrial electrician or similar (e.g. technician) and have ideally already gained initial experience in a similar position.
- You are characterized by strong problem-solving skills and are able to work in a self-organized manner and adapt flexibly to changing priorities and deadlines. Your open mindset means you are always willing to learn new things.
- Thanks to your mechanical and/or electrical knowledge and your precise way of working, you will find it easy to succeed in this role.
- Experience with control systems from suppliers such as Allen Bradley, Siemens or Beckhoff is an advantage.
- Your good language skills in English as well as your confident and engaging manner combined with communication skills form the basis for professional dealings with our national and international customers. Further language skills and experience in field service/customer contact are an advantage.
- You like to travel and enjoy business trips to our customers.

What You Can Expect
