Data Analyst - EY GDS Spain - Hybrid

As a member of our team in the EY GDS Spain office in Malaga, you´ll have a chance to extend your knowledge & experience by working on interesting projects with the newest technologies and approaches. You´ll support clients in choosing the most suitable business solution and take part in digital transformation.

Your key responsibilities

As a Data Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
- Defining business requirements
- Identifying relevant and necessary data for business analysis.
- Collaborating with Data Engineers to determine and identify appropriate data sources that meet business requirements, and to define new processes that improve data collection for analysis
- Performing data profiling, cleansing, and transformation activities
- Creating scalable and efficient data models for reporting purposes
- Analyzing and visualizing data using technologies such as data mining, data exploration, Power BI, QlikSense, and Tableau, to generate insights that address business stakeholders´ questions
- Managing end-to-end analytical projects: from understanding business needs to effectively communicating analysis results through data storytelling

- Good understanding of data profiling, cleansing, and statistical analysis techniques to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills to present data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Team-oriented attitude with experience collaborating across functions, especially with Data Engineers, to align data solutions with business goals.
- Self-motivated and proactive in managing analytical projects from requirement gathering to insight delivery.
- Fluent in English, enabling effective collaboration in multicultural environments.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Degree in engineering or scientific disciplines.
- 2-4 years of experience on projects in the industrial sector, preferably in consulting firms
- Front-end development skills using Qlik and Power BI
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of PowerQuery
- Knowledge of DAX language
- Skills in statistics
- Proficiency in English

Ideally, you´ll also have
- B2 in Italian is a plus
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Curiosity and willingness to explore emerging technologies in the Data & AI space (e.g., Generative AI, machine learning, MLOps).
