ELLIS Alicante is part of ELLIS (the European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems), a European network of scientific excellence in machine learning and related fields. About the position

ELLIS Alicante invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral position in Human–AI Teaming and Agentic AI, focusing on how AI agents can collaborate effectively with humans in increasingly complex, multi-agent environments.

As AI systems evolve from individual assistants into teams of interacting agents, a central challenge is understanding how humans can work effectively with these systems, maintain appropriate levels of trust and control, and make informed decisions without becoming overwhelmed by information and interaction demands.

The successful candidate will contribute to research on human-centered methods for adaptive collaboration between humans and AI agents. A central component of the position will be the empirical investigation and evaluation of human–AI collaboration through controlled experiments and, where appropriate, longitudinal studies involving human participants. The research will examine how individual differences, team composition, agent capabilities, and interaction patterns influence collaboration, decision quality, and human experience. The research agenda will also consider how principles of trustworthy and socially aware AI, including fairness, transparency, and norm-sensitive behavior, can support effective human–AI collaboration.

The position will be supported primarily by a Horizon Europe research project, alongside other research funding.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to an emerging research area at the intersection of agentic AI, human–AI interaction, and empirical evaluation; develop original research ideas; publish at leading international venues; and collaborate with researchers across ELLIS and the wider international research community.

Key responsibilities

· Human–AI teaming and evaluation: Investigate and develop adaptive methods for effective collaboration between humans and AI agents in multi-agent environments, tailoring communication, explanations, task allocation, and autonomy to human needs, capabilities, and preferences. Investigate cognitive load, trust, fairness, and human oversight, and evaluate the proposed methods through controlled experiments and, where appropriate, longitudinal human-subject studies, assessing collaboration quality, decision-making, usability, and human-AI team performance.

• Research and dissemination: Publish and present research findings at leading international conferences and journals, and collaborate with researchers across ELLIS Alicante, the ELLIS network, and external research partners.
• Training and project contributions: Contribute to the organization of an annual Training School on Trustworthy and Socially Aware Agentic AI, scientific project reporting, and the supervision and mentoring of PhD students.

The research may also address complementary topics, including norm-aware agent behavior and cooperation in multi-agent environments.

Required qualifications

Education and research experience

• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Human–Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, or a closely related field. Candidates who have completed their PhD or expect to complete it before the start date are welcome to apply.
• Strong research expertise in one or more relevant areas, such as human–AI interaction, human–AI collaboration, agentic AI, multi-agent systems, machine learning, or the empirical evaluation of AI systems.
• Strong programming skills and practical experience with modern machine learning frameworks, AI systems, or computational methods relevant to the research agenda.
• Experience in empirical research, including the design, execution, or analysis of experiments or user studies.
• A strong research track record, demonstrated through publications and other relevant research contributions appropriate to career stage.

Additional relevant experience

Reverse engineering is at the heart of how Zyte stays ahead in the banning war. We've cracked some of the hardest antibots on the web — but the ground shifts weekly: antibots ship new sensor formats overnight, obfuscation schemes mutate, and new fingerprinting surfaces appear faster than any team could chase by hand.

This role is not about solving tickets one at a time. It's about building the tools, pipelines, and automation that let both engineers and AI agents solve them at scale. You will be the person who turns a reverse-engineering breakthrough into reusable tooling, who automates the investigation that used to take days into a readout that takes minutes, and who feeds the intelligence our AI systems learn from. You'll work at the intersection of deep JS/VM reverse engineering and modern AI-assisted engineering — using LLMs and agentic tooling aggressively to compress the loop between "new detection surface discovered" and "solution shipped."

Roles & Responsibilities

• Reverse-engineer the hardest antibot and fingerprinting systems on the web, across JS VMs, WASM, and polymorphic/obfuscated code
• Build the JS function tracing, deobfuscation pipelines, and fingerprint-inspection tooling that turn manual reverse-engineering investigations into fast, repeatable, largely automated workflows
• Use AI aggressively — LLMs, agents, and custom automation — to deobfuscate, classify, and diagnose detection surfaces, and to rapidly prototype and ship tooling that previously would have taken weeks
• Build and maintain website intel pipelines with checkpointed history, so that when an antibot ships an update we diff against a known-good baseline instead of rediscovering the problem from scratch
• Feed our AI reverse-engineering and ban-resolution systems the context, signals, and structured intelligence they need to autonomously resolve the majority of cases
• Codify one-off reverse-engineering wins into durable capability — tools, rules, and pipelines usable by other engineers and by AI agents alike

• Más de 3 años de experiencia en Data Science, con experiencia en almacenamiento de datos, procesos ETL e integración de datos. Se valorará especialmente experiencia trabajando de forma autónoma en proyectos de estadística y Machine Learning.

• Conocimiento avanzado de SQL: dominio en la escritura y optimización de consultas.

• Experiencia en desarrollo en entornos AWS, Azure o Google Cloud.

• Conocimiento profundo del modelado de datos, gobernanza y mejores prácticas de calidad.

• Capacidad para manipular y preprocesar grandes volúmenes de datos utilizando herramientas como SQL, Pandas o Polars.

• Experiencia en scripts de Python y familiaridad con bibliotecas y herramientas de Python.

• Experiencia práctica en técnicas de Machine Learning y estadística aplicada, incluyendo modelos predictivos, regresión, clasificación, clustering y/o series temporales.

• Se valorará tener conocimientos estadísticos: pruebas de hipótesis, análisis de regresión, distribuciones de probabilidad, etc.

You'll be joining a highly technical engineering team, working directly alongside the CTO to shape the future of machine learning across the business.

THE ROLE

As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer, you'll define the technical direction of large-scale production machine learning systems while remaining hands-on throughout the full model lifecycle. This is an individual contributor leadership role focused on delivering complex technical projects rather than managing people.

You'll lead end-to-end machine learning initiatives across recommendation systems, audience targeting, bidding optimisation and customer lifecycle modelling, partnering closely with senior engineering and business stakeholders to translate commercial objectives into production-ready AI solutions. The role combines technical strategy, platform engineering and applied machine learning within a high-scale real-time environment.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Extensive experience building and deploying production machine learning systems at scale
• Proven technical leadership, defining architecture and technical direction while remaining hands-on
• Strong experience developing recommendation systems, audience targeting models, LTV or churn models

MISIÓN

Desarrollar, implementar y monitorizar modelos analíticos avanzados que permitan optimizar la rentabilidad del Canal Digital, mediante segmentación de riesgo, modelos de LTV, análisis competitivo en agregadores y sistemas de pricing dinámico, integrando estas capacidades dentro del marco técnico del ramo.

RESPONSABILIDADES DEL PUESTO

• Desarrollar modelos de segmentación avanzada y footprint digital.
• Modelizar siniestralidad esperada por segmento y simular impacto técnico.
• Construir y mantener el modelo LTV integrando prima, siniestralidad, CPA y persistencia.
• Desarrollar modelos de elasticidad precio y posicionamiento competitivo en agregadores.
• Diseñar motores de descuento dinámico por perfil de cliente.
• Construir modelos financieros por cohorte (P&L, VNB, sensibilidades).
• Automatizar reporting técnico y monitorización de alertas tempranas.
• Coordinar con Tecnología y Data para la productivización de modelos.

REQUISITOS

Experiencia requerida:

• 4–7 años en modelización avanzada aplicada a negocio.
• Experiencia en Machine Learning supervisado y no supervisado.
• Experiencia en desarrollo de modelos financieros o actuariales.
• Valorable experiencia en sector asegurador.

Conocimientos Requeridos:

• Grado en Matemáticas, Estadística, Ingeniería, Actuariales o similar.
• Valorable máster en Data Science o Analytics.
• Python avanzado (pandas, scikit-learn u otras librerías de ML).
• SQL.
• Modelización estadística avanzada, experiencia en software actuarial (Akur8, Radar….)

Desde MTP queremos incorporar a un/una Responsable de Gobierno del Dato y Business Intelligence para liderar el área de Datos y BI de uno de nuestros clientes.

Funciones principales:

• Liderar el modelo de gobierno del dato del grupo.
• Coordinar el backlog de cuadros de mando corporativos y dirigir al equipo de datos (internos y proveedores), dimensionando el equipo necesario a futuro.
• Actuar como Workstream Leader de Datos en proyectos de integración, incluyendo la migración/segregación de Power BI y Fabric.
• Integrar el proceso de gobierno del dato con el equipo de datos en otra de las sedes de la compañia
• Interlocución con dirección y negocio, y realización de reporting ejecutivo.
• Coordinar equipos en remoto e internacionales

Requisitos:

• Titulación en Ingeniería Informática, Telecomunicaciones, Matemáticas/Estadística o similar.
• Experiencia mínima de 10 años en el ámbito de datos /BI
• Experiencia previa mínima de 2/3 años en un puesto similar de responsable de gobierno del dato, habiendo definido y/o implantado un modelo de gobierno del dato en una organización.
• Disponer de conocimientos técnicos con:

-Frameworks de gobierno (DAMA-DMBOK): catálogo, glosario, calidad, linaje y MDM.

-Ecosistema Microsoft: Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, pipelines, DirectLake), Power BI

(capacidades, workspaces, RLS, gateways) y Purview.

-Dimensionamiento y licenciamiento de capacidades Fabric/Power BI.

-Arquitecturas de ingesta por API, SQL y modelado de datos.

• Capacidad de reporting ejecutivo.
• Inglés B2 o superior.

Valorable:

• Máster en Data Management, Big Data o Data Governance.
• Disponer de certificaciones como : DAMA CDMP, DP-600/DP-700 (Fabric), PL-300, PMP/Prince2.
