The role in a nutshell

In this role, you will construct robust pipelines and data flows to ingest data from diverse sources, including on-premises and cloud-based systems, encompassing REST and SOAP APIs. Strong business acumen and exceptional communication skills are essential, as you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to comprehend their data requirements and guide them in data-driven decision-making, drawing upon your expertise in ETL processes.

The position may require rapid acquisition of new tools and technologies. Proficiency in database management, combined with fundamental programming and scripting skills, is expected. Your primary objective will be to construct efficient and sustainable data pipelines that can be easily maintained in the future. You should possess a deep understanding of designing, creating, managing, and leveraging large datasets for business purposes.

More specifically, you will be expected to:

• Design, implement, and continually enhance data pipelines through ETL/ELT processes;
• Gather requirements and in-depth knowledge of business processes to transform data in a manner tailored to end-users needs;
• Maintain and optimize existing data processes;
• Ensure scalability and maintainability of the data architecture;
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and deliver accurate, high-quality data;
• Investigate data anomalies within ETL pipelines, promptly notifying end-users and proposing effective solutions;
• Prepare comprehensive documentation for future reference;
• Prototype and explore emerging technologies to provide guidance on potential product adoption.
  
  

Do you have what it takes?

• Proficiency in SQL, including query performance tuning and index maintenance, with a strong grasp of database structures;
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles;
• Exceptional organizational skills, encompassing time management and strategic planning;
• Mastery of SQL Server Integration Services and hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory;
• Proven expertise in integrating data from structured, semi-structured, and API sources;
• Familiarity with various SQL/NoSQL data storage mechanisms and Big Data technologies;
• Impeccable attention to detail and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset;
• Passion for tackling complex data structures and problem-solving;
• Rapid adaptability to new data tools and concepts.
  
  

Language : As you will be part of a global team, you must be able to communicate fluently in English (verbal and written). Knowledge of other languages such as French, German and/or Spanish is desirable.
