Join bp as M&C Iberia Brand & Comms Manager!

About role itself As the Brand & Comms / Product & Brand Manager, you will handle the adaptation of global Marketing Communications plans and content, co-created with Networks of Perfection (NoEs), into local, annual Marketing Communications plans with innovative brand and product offers that deliver brand health objectives and support the delivery of commercial targets across brands.
Working closely with the Hub, you will be responsible for implementing campaigns across the year, optimising performance through testing and experimentation, and ensuring compliance with local regulatory, tech and language requirements. This role, whilst still understanding and following established procedures, must use independent judgment when faced with sophisticated problems, identifying issues and providing insight to support resolutions
Key Accountabilities:
- Demonstrating local insights from Spain and Portugal, craft comprehensive annual Marketing Communications plans for your brands and products, based on the global strategies and plans co-created with the NoEs, to amplify brand metrics and drive tangible business outcomes in the Iberia region.
- In close collaboration with the Hub and agency partners, adapt brand content from the global activation toolkits for local campaigns in Spain and Portugal (developing campaign materials locally only if unavailable in the activation toolkit)
- Define and complete a local media and communications channel mix to achieve your marketing objectives, including paid, owned and earned media, in alignment with global strategy and local performance data.
- Own the planning and execution of coordinated media strategies across Spain and Portugal, ensuring efficient use of paid, owned and earned channels to improve campaign efficiency and value
- Conduct A/B testing and experimentation, in partnership with the Hub, to refine and optimise brand content and campaign performance across all Priority communication channels.
- Engage local sponsors, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), partners and affiliates in Spain and Portugal, supporting brand building and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic direction.
- Serve as the brand and communications authority in relationships with key strategic partners, building a consistent and unified framework of communication in line with bp brand guidelines.
- Act as a Marketing Communications guide, authoritatively defending and articulating plans in front of critical internal and external collaborators, including senior leadership, partners, and industry influencers.
- Complete the local implementation of sophisticated global sponsorships, including the coordination of events, communication plans, partner alignment and on-the-ground activation in compliance with brand and commercial objectives.
- Work closely with marketing and business customers to ensure annual plans and deliverables align with long-term marketing and business strategies in the Iberian markets.
- Ensure compliance with all local regulatory, tax, technical, and language requirements in marketing activities across Spain and Portugal.
- Ensure consistency of product brand messaging and visual identity across all channels and touchpoints.
- Working closely with the Hub, track and analyse campaign performance, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and optimise brand investments to improve value. Share local insights and takeaways with regional leadership and NoEs to improve overall brand efficiency.
- Support the team in addressing sophisticated challenges and developing resolutions across multiple partners. Exercise good judgment and make independent decisions when appropriate, raising issues where more sophisticated resolutions are required.
- Watch the latest marketing, communication and product trends across all channels, using this expertise to provide guidance, coaching, and continuous improvement of campaign strategies and product portfolio relevance.
- Responsible for implementing marketing activities that meet or exceed critical metrics, including marketing return on investment, campaign performance, and fulfilment of Hub SLAs. Drive year-on-year increases in Hub utilisation, content re-use, and campaign efficiency.
- Provide input into the annual budget planning process and handle budgets for specific activities, ensuring alignment with business priorities and financial field.
- 10 years' demonstrated ability in brand management and communications, with a focus on omnichannel execution, preferably in a multi-national matrix organisation.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in performance optimisation and Campaign testing.
- Ability to adapt global strategies and content to meet local market requirements successfully.
- Excellent budget and interpersonal skills to coordinate multiple campaigns and team members, including senior business partners.
- Deep understanding of customer behaviour and market trends to drive innovation and strategic decision-making.
- Strong project management skills, crucial for the successful delivery of the role’s deliverables, combined with a customer-obsessed, principled approach that consistently prioritises the customer while delivering long-term business impact.
