About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of our elasticity intelligence capabilities. This is a high-impact, greenfield role within our new Synergy Products squad , with a strong focus on data discovery — exploring newly acquired travel datasets to uncover patterns that shape how we understand demand elasticity. You will work at the intersection of data discovery, statistical modeling, and product strategy , identifying where elasticity insights can drive the most value for airlines.

This is an individual contributor role with significant ownership and autonomy from day one , working closely with product and engineering teams to turn analytical discoveries into product impact.

What You’ll Build

You will design and deliver:

• Exploratory analytical frameworks that uncover elasticity patterns across travel datasets
• End-to-end elasticity models grounded in strong statistical methodology
• Robust evaluation frameworks to validate model assumptions
• Production-ready model architectures with data engineering
• Clear analytical insights that inform product and pricing strategy
  
  

What Success Looks Like

Within your first three months, you will have delivered:

• A clear exploratory analysis of key travel datasets identifying the most promising areas for elasticity modeling
• A defensible view of elasticity across priority datasets
• A validated modeling framework with documented assumptions and robustness checks
• A proposal for production deployment of elasticity models
• Alignment with the product roadmap
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and data teams
  
  

What You’ll Do

Your work will span both data discovery and model development , including:

• Exploring large-scale travel datasets to identify patterns and opportunities related to demand elasticity
• Designing and building elasticity models end-to-end
• Evaluating model robustness and statistical validity
• Translating findings into clear product and pricing insights
• Collaborating with data engineering to productionize models and pipelines
• Communicating statistical insights clearly to product and leadership stakeholders
