Financial Leadership & Accounting Ownership
- Hold full responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the company's financial statements.
- Closely supervise day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and period-end closings.
- Ensure full compliance with local accounting standards, statutory requirements, internal policies, and external reporting obligations.
- Act as the primary reference for complex accounting matters, judgments, and reconciliations.
- Lead interactions with auditors, external advisors, and tax authorities.
Operational Finance Supervision
- Maintain a strong operational presence within the finance function, ensuring processes are executed consistently and efficiently.
- Review and validate financial data at a detailed level, ensuring high data quality and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting procedures, internal controls, and documentation.
- Identify operational risks, control gaps, and inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure finance operations are scalable and resilient to support business growth.
Business Support & Financial Insight
- Support local management with clear financial explanations of results, deviations, and key drivers.
- Provide practical, fact-based financial input for operational and commercial decisions.
- Ensure transparency around costs, margins, and profitability across the business.
FP&A / Controlling Awareness
- Maintain a solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance monitoring.
- Review and assess planning and controlling outputs to ensure consistency with accounting data and operational realities.
- Contribute financial judgement and challenge assumptions when required, without direct ownership of these activities.
Treasury & Cash Flow Knowledge
- Possess working knowledge of cash flow management, liquidity monitoring, and working capital dynamics.
- Ensure appropriate visibility and control over cash position, collections, and payment processes.
- Support disciplined financial management through awareness of liquidity and cash implications of business decisions.
Broader Coordination
- Ensure financial standards, controls, and best practices are applied consistently within the wider organization, while keeping Spain as the primary focus.
¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?
- Proven experience as Chief Financial Officer, or senior finance leader, ideally in a complex or operationally intensive environment.
- 15 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in similar roles.
- Previous experience in a Big Four firm is a plus.
- Very strong background in accounting and operational finance, with hands-on exposure to transactional processes and closing activities.
- Solid general knowledge of FP&A/controlling and treasury, sufficient to challenge and support specialized teams.
- Fluent in English; Spanish required.
