How you can help people and organizations work better together:
Reporting to our Chief Global Customer Officer the successful candidate ideally holds proven experience in key account sales and connectivity with large CPG retailers and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have experience preferably in a combination of CPG, Retail, and related Professional Services, with a history using data-led insights and advisory capabilities to drive growth. Experience in sales and client management in the services industries is also viewed as an asset.
As part of this role, you will:
Provide organizational, sales and client service leadership for the Advantage Global business. Specific responsibilities include:
- Build strong business relationships with our CPG clients ensuring they are gaining value and insights from our work with them and that you strengthen their advocacy for Advantage
- Achieve sales and profit goals of client portfolio and meet new business development targets
- Work closely with the Commercial, Market and Finance teams to ensure alignment to business strategy and processes including meeting all targets and requirements for financial reporting – budgets, forecast estimates for clients across global and local investments
- Work closely across appropriate functions of our and client’s business to meet the needs of your clients and in developing client service and product proposals
- Exercise strong business acumen and negotiation skills to achieve win-win agreements with our clients
- Provide leadership to and support Market leaders on developing and nurturing the collaboration with global clients at country level
- As a thought leader, help to enhance the Advantage brand within the FMCG community through keynote presentations, conference/association participation, white papers, published articles, and other similar efforts
The candidate will ideally be based in Europe, out of a country we employ in (Spain, France, UK, Netherlands and Germany are preferred). This role will be remote (home office based).
Expectations on travel may include:
- To client offices for presentations and meetings (more in the second half of the calendar year)
- Occasionally to Toronto Office
- Relevant conferences or industry events
- Expertise in the CPG retail industry
- Strong network of global contacts amongst CPG suppliers
- A strong client-service and business development orientation
- Practical understanding of market research principles / concepts as well of Advantage Products
- An ability to manage complex consulting projects
- Strong English written and oral communication skills at top management level, specially in a virtual environment
- Ability to digest insight from data and create story-telling style presentations
- Ability to work independently and an entrepreneurial mindset a positive attitude, respectful of a corporate environment and team building, zest for learning and always seeking innovations and efficiencies
- An ability to create and foster strong inter-departmental communications advocating for clients’ interest
- Good listening skills, be obsessed on knowing and understanding client needs
- Strong sense of urgency
