Job Title: Head of Talent & Development Southern Europe
Location: Support Office Milan, Barcelona, Bochum, Madrid or Lisboa
Reports to: People Director Southern Europe
Directs Reports: People Development Team Southern Europe
Job Purpose:
Lead the implementation of the People, Culture, and Development strategy across Southern Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Germany). Drive an inclusive and engaging culture that attracts, develops, and retains talent across all levels. Provide strategic and operational leadership to the regional People & Development Team, ensuring alignment across Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding, Talent Management, Learning & Development, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I).
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leaders, HR Business Partners, and cross-functional teams to co-create and continuously improve our people culture, talent, and succession policies, tools, and processes to support business and enable managers to support and develop their teams.
- Lead the design and delivery of talent programs that foster development and growth, particularly within Operations, ensuring alignment with both local needs and OCG Talent & Development strategy.
- Align and lead Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding, Talent Management, Learning & Development, and DE&I to create a seamless colleague journey.
- Collaborate closely with Group Talent & Development teams to localize, embed, and deliver OCG content and initiatives, ensuring consistency and impact across the colleague journey.
- Develop and implement programs that support the colleague journey, in line with the OCG Group People & Talent strategy.
- Bring external insight, leadership, and best practice to all talent and development interventions, championing a culture of inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Translate strategic and operational business plans into talent and capability requirements, partnering with Operations Leadership and HQ functional leads to deliver tailored development solutions.
- Use data and insights to analyze talent, development, and engagement trends, proactively addressing challenges and driving evidence-based decisions that enhance our people culture.
- Lead the South Europe DE&I strategy, ensuring alignment with our Incredible Differences commitments and the OCG Group DE&I strategy, and embedding inclusion across all stages of the colleague journey.
- Manage the PDT budget, ensuring optimal use of resources and ROI.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, or Organizational Development.
- Proven experience in multi-country or regional HR leadership roles, ideally within Southern Europe.
- Fluency in English is essential; Spanish, Portuguese, German, or Italian is a strong advantage.
- Master’s degree is desirable but not essential if experience is robust.
- Experience in matrix organizations and cross-functional collaboration is highly valued.
- Strong leadership, influencing, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into actionable talent strategies.
- Agile, innovative, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Passion for inclusion, continuous improvement, and external benchmarking.
- Highly organized and collaborative across diverse teams and geographies.
