Behind the user-friendly iOS and Android apps and webpage that work across the world is the engineering team. We are in charge of creating, developing, improving, and maintaining all Fever services so that more people can have an amazing experience.
About the Team

Secret Media Network is a digital media group focused on recommending perfect plans, discovering great places, sharing things to do and relevant breaking news in different cities around the world. Our family is composed of Secret Chicago, Secret LA, Secret NYC, Secret Atlanta, Secret Miami, Secret Toronto, Secret London, Lisboa Secreta, Paris Secret, Madrid Secreto, Barcelona Secreta and more! Through our media outlets we inspire over 60 million people every week to discover the best experiences in their cities.
What would you do at Fever?

During your first month at Fever (Onboarding period)
- Full immersion into our team, participating in team planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
- Familiarization with our tech stack, focusing on the Secret Media Network, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure.
- Multiple successful Pull Requests merged and deployed to production.
- Participation in Fever Original´s experiences like Candlelight.

After 3 months at Fever:
- Proficiency in solving complex problems and taking charge of architecture design and implementation.
- Continual creation of production-grade PHP code capable of handling high levels of traffic, with a keen eye on functionality and product enhancement.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to define and prioritize product development
- Collaboration in hackdays or hackathons with other teams, becoming well-acquainted with the entire engineering department.

In your 6th month at Fever:
- Assume responsibilities for various system components, analyzing user interactions and evolving the platform to meet their needs.
- Participation in launching large scale initiatives, from inception to production.
- Ideating and implementing initiatives to ensure the system performance and reliability
- Mentorship of fellow team members through code reviews, architecture design sessions, and pair programming.
- Engagement in team-building activities, fostering a cohesive engineering team spirit.
About you
- You´re smart, get stuff done, have great energy, and thrive in a fast paced environment
- Deep knowledge on Wordpress and PHP
- You know how to create/modify WP plugins and themes
- You know how to handle several WP sites
- You are experienced handling DDBB such as MySQL
- You have experience working through cross-browser compatibility issues
- You are highly productive, self-starter and self-motivated
- You comply with defined coding standards
- You are proficient in business English

Additional Skills:
- Know how to create WP plugins and themes from scratch
- Systems knowledge (Cache, Load balancers, ...)
- Familiar with JIRA
