We are seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to record, analyze, validate and document all security requirements. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in configuring, managing, operating, engineering and developing a variety of security devices and appliances, including forensic solutions, data protection, access management, zoning, internet security and firewalling. You will implement compliance measures, train employees and possess advanced knowledge in testing, auditing and post-incident analysis.

Responsibilities

- Manage, operate and monitor security administration to defend systems against unauthorized access, modification or destruction
- Report risk incidents and violations, conduct technical investigations into criminal and abnormal activities and provide post-incident analysis
- Design, conduct and document security audits, assessments, vulnerability testing and risk analyses
- Configure, support and evaluate security tools and appliances (e.g. web application firewalls, anti-virus software, access control and monitoring solutions)
- Analyze and establish security requirements for systems and networks and check fulfillment of defined security objectives
- Assist in defining, creating and updating security architecture, business continuity and disaster recovery protocols
- Develop and implement compliance measures, security strategies and troubleshooting improvements
- Train employees in security awareness, protocols and procedures
- Test applications of new technologies, recommend security upgrades and monitor technical developments in IT security
- Contribute to IT security strategy, guidelines, controls definition and procurement of suitable security components

Requirements

- High attention to quality management and operational resilience in IT security and risk management
- Up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends and tools in the IT security field
- Independent, efficient, proactive and meticulous work style
- Expertise in IT security architecture, engineering, operations, monitoring, process design and testing procedures
- Solid foundation in architecture including methods and new ways of working (Agile, DevOps, Continuous Integration), modeling, principles, standards and frameworks
- Good knowledge of application integration architecture, technologies, patterns and security architecture
- Strong understanding of service design, development principles, standards, software solution architecture and design
- Experience in business analysis and requirements engineering
- Relevant higher educational and professional background
- IT security certification (e.g. CISSP, CISA, Security+)

Nice to have

- Experience with forensic solutions, data protection, access management, zoning and internet security appliances
- Familiarity with business continuity and disaster recovery planning
- Knowledge of security compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements
