Location: Remote (Candidates must be based in Spain, Poland, the UK, or Portugal)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Functional Data Analyst to join a project focused on delivering datasets that enable the automation
of risk reporting. The ideal candidate will conduct comprehensive reviews of existing processes, reports, and data
usage, and support the design and delivery of optimized, automated reporting solutions.
This role involves analyzing end-user computing (EUC) tools and reports to determine data usage, flow, and
dependencies. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in data provisioning, SQL, and BI tools and
must be comfortable working in a structured and methodical manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform AS-IS analysis of functional process flows and documentation.
• Identify and document all data inputs, outputs, transformations, and data flows in reports, EUC tools,
forums, and committees.
• Design and document terminable processes and datasets.
• Create Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and technical specifications, including
transformation/mapping logic and BI integration.
• Simplify and automate data used in reporting processes.
• Conduct technical testing to ensure solutions meet functional and business requirements.
• Manage and support the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process, ensuring all issues are resolved effectively.
Mandatory Skills:
• Advanced communication skills (written and oral) for requirements gathering, specifications, user stories,
and roadmaps.
• Strong hands-on SQL experience for complex data analysis.
• Experience creating BI reports, including data modeling and provisioning.
• Proven ability to lead data initiatives and collaborate with users, developers, and change managers.
• Strong planning and self-organization skills.
• Experience in UAT planning and execution.
• Minimum English level: C1
Desirable Skills:
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
• Proficiency in BI tools and visual analytics.
• Experience in financial services or banking, including retail, business, and corporate banking.
• Background in large-scale transformation projects and data migrations.
• Interest in emerging technologies and AI tools.
Professional Qualities:
• Goal-oriented with strong attention to detail.
• Calm and effective under pressure; able to multitask efficiently.
• Independent problem-solver with a proactive attitude.
Experience and Education:
• More than 4 years of professional experience in data analysis or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, preferably Computer Science or related.
