Job Purpose

Analyse, update and control daily and cyclical performance data and updates for aircraft operations within the Flight Operations Department, adhering to international aviation regulations and company standards, to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of all flights.

Main Accountabilitie

• Download, process, and analyse daily updates of airport databases, categorising differences related to distances, elevations, obstacles, and procedures.
• Identify and evaluate NOTAMs affecting airport operations, determining their impact on performance related parameters.
• Collaborate with the navigation engineering team in reviewing and categorising changes in airport cartography every 28 days.
• Receive, analyse, and verify changes in the Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS) database, determining their relevance to operations.
• Collect and process data related to engine performance degradation, integrating it into a monthly performance factor calculation.
• Assist specialists in drafting and updating technical manuals and procedural documentation in both English and Spanish.
• Develop and implement scripts using Python or Visual Basic to automate repetitive data processing tasks.
• Coordinate with the Safety and Compliance teams for the collection and analysis of critical performance data, such as diskettes for older aircraft models.
• Stay updated on changes in aviation regulations and industry standards that impact flight performance calculations.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, is mandatory to ensure a strong foundational understanding of aircraft performance principles and aviation industry standards.

Experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of how aircraft performance is calculated and the factors that influence it.
• Familiarity with international and company-specific regulations that impact flight operations, including safety standards and operational limits.
• Proficiency in handling and analysing large datasets to identify relevant changes and impacts on performance.
• Python is highly desirable for developing scripts to automate data processing tasks.
• Visual Basic: is useful for creating and maintaining macros to streamline workflows.
• Familiarity with other programming languages such as C++ or Java is an added advantage.
• Advanced skills in using Excel for data analysis, including creating and utilising macros for efficiency.
