Estamos buscando un/a Ingeniero/a de Hardware y Firmware altamente talentoso/a y motivado/a para unirse a nuestro equipo de Investigación y Desarrollo (I+D).

El/la candidato/a ideal tendrá experiencia en sistemas embebidos, diseño de PCB y tecnologías de comunicación inalámbrica, y mostrará entusiasmo por contribuir al desarrollo de soluciones neurotecnológicas de vanguardia.

Trabajarás en estrecha colaboración con los equipos de diseño de producto y software, participando en todo el ciclo de desarrollo —desde el concepto y diseño hasta la implementación y las pruebas— de productos hardware innovadores utilizados en neurociencia y neurotecnología.

Your Main Tasks

Desplegar código C / C++ para sistemas embebidos (basados en microcontroladores) y sistemas de comunicación inalámbrica.

Diseño de PCB para dispositivos de bajo consumo.

Mantenimiento y migración de bibliotecas internas de alto nivel.

Desarrollo, prueba y depuración de firmware, garantizando una documentación adecuada para el cumplimiento normativo.

• ¿Qué buscamos?
  
  

Titulación en Ingeniería Electrónica, Ingeniería de Telecomunicaciones, Ingeniería Industrial (especialidad en electrónica) o campo técnico relacionado.

Mínimo 2 años de experiencia en un puesto similar.

Dominio de C / C++ para sistemas embebidos, idealmente con plataformas ARM Cortex-M (NXP, Nordic, Microchip).

Experiencia en comunicaciones BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).

Conocimiento sólido del proceso completo de diseño de PCB.

Experiencia avanzada con Altium Designer.

Manejo de instrumentos de laboratorio como osciloscopios y generadores de señal.

Nivel básico de inglés.

Valoramos Positivamente

Habilidad manual para soldadura SMD y creación de prototipos.

Familiaridad con MATLAB.

Interés en neurociencia, wearables o tecnologías biomédicas.

The internship supports the Innovation Department of Openchip, and focuses on developing and integrating advanced photonic technologies, including optical interconnects, embedded optics, and thermal management systems. The role contributes to research and development activities involving photonic integrated circuits (PICs), AI accelerator integration, and advanced thermal management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and support feasibility studies for optical interconnects, photonic integration, and advanced thermal management technologies.
• Participate in the development of early-stage photonic prototypes and experimental setups.
• Assist in benchmarking optical and thermal performance of integrated photonic systems.
• Contribute to research on data acquisition and signal processing within photonic and AI-enabled architectures.

Key Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BSc or MSc in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.

Several positions of Hardware Design Engineer are now open in Airbus CRISA (Airbus Defense & Space) in Tres Cantos (Madrid area) for different Space business: Launchers, Earth Exploration (Copernicus), Space Exploration (Artemis), Commercial (Telecommunications Satellites). In accordance with the proven Candidate skills, she/he will be part of Power, Analog or Digital team and will report/be supported by the relevant Skill Manager.

Functionally, the Candidate is also part of the Project, with the main mission of developing/designing electronic units for flight and ground equipment to achieve the unit delivery in accordance with project schedule, cost and quality requirements. In a day-to-day basis, she/he will report to Project Manager.

Within each project, the tasks are coordinated by a Technical Responsible in charge of direct reporting to the Project Manager.

The Engineer’s tasks comprise the complete development of an electronic equipment: from the analysis of the requirements to the final delivery of the flight model once accepted. The successful applicant will be in charge of the following tasks:

• Support to the Technical and Test Managers for the analysis of project requirements.
• Architecture analysis at electronic function or module level.
• Detailed electronics design based on electrical simulations at function level.
• Assure of the robustness of the design by means of: part stress analysis, worst case analysis, failure modes and criticality analysis, power budget analysis and Double Insulation requirements compliance.
• In case of fligth design, to support to Radiation Team to assure the design robustness within the radiation space environment including Single Events Effects (SEE).
• Documentation of the design.
• Laboratory and prototype testing.
• Assure the mechanical and thermal design robustness by supporting the Packaging Team.
• Support to PCB CAD team during the design of the PCB by the reviewing of the PCB layout.
• Board test procedures definition.
• Support to the Technical Manager in the main project reviews (Requirement Review, Preliminary and Architecture Review, Critical Design Review...)
• Characterization of the design.
• Support to Test Team for the acceptance of flight equipment, ensuring a close monitoring of any change, evolution or discrepancy from the agreed baseline in the characterization phase.
• Support to the Technical Manager in the resolution of boards NCRs (Non-conformance) raised during qualification or acceptance test campaign.
  
  

Background And Skills Set Required

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Educated to Master degree level (or equivalent) in engineering or science discipline.
• Proven experience in the development of any of the following functions: Power, Analog or Digital electronics.
• Proven experience using advanced laboratory instrumentation.
• Good knowledge of design methodologies for space application and tools (Mentor, LTSPice, Matlab, SIMetrix-SIMPLIS).
• Sound mathematical basis for its application to the electronic design analysis.
• English and Spanish must be at least mid-level, both written and spoken.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Strong team working and cooperation spirit.
• Independent and accurate way of working.
  
  

Other recommended skills are:

• Digital mindset (automation of tasks, scripting, use of digital design tools and simulators).
• Knowledge of space environment constraints.
• To be familiar with Agile methodologies.
• For Candidates with skills on Power & Analog electronics: experience on designs using digital control techniques.
