Company Description Mimax Group is a construction company based in Ibiza, specializing in privately owned homes and reforms. With over 20 years of industry experience, the company focuses on partnering closely with clients to turn individual ideas into high-quality, tailored construction projects. Mimax Group maintains a full in-house team of skilled professionals who manage projects from structural work to turnkey delivery, prioritizing quality and speed. A dedicated technical team provides project guidance, helping clients visualize the end result before construction begins and overseeing day-to-day operations throughout the build. The company serves an international clientele and works in English, Spanish, German, and Serbian.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ibiza. This position oversees daily construction operations, including project planning, resource allocation, scheduling, and coordination of internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. The role leads business development initiatives by identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, nurturing client relationships, and supporting the growth of the company’s portfolio of private home and reform projects. The director collaborates closely with the technical and project guidance teams to align operational execution with client expectations, improve processes, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities also include monitoring performance metrics, optimizing workflows, managing risk, and contributing to the long-term strategic vision of Mimax Group.
Prepare, review and issue all project budgets, owning pricing methodology, overhead recovery and target net margin
• Track committed and actual costs against budget, flag deviations early and protect the target margin
• Produce and issue monthly work certifications for every active project, coordinating with site and technical management
• Draft and manage client and subcontractor contracts, and keep all project and company insurance current before works begin
• Plan and schedule works, sequencing tasks and aligning resources and material lead times
• Lead supplier relationships and material ordering — negotiating terms, consolidating purchasing across sites and ensuring on-site delivery when needed
• Pursue new project opportunities, drawing on established relationships in the Ibiza market (measured as a growth objective, separate from core duties)
Qualifications
- Strong Operations Management skills, including project planning, workflow optimization, and process improvement.
- Robust Analytical Skills to interpret data, manage KPIs, support decision-making, and assess business opportunities.
- Proven Team Management capabilities, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Solid Budgeting and financial management skills to oversee project costs, forecasts, and resource allocation.
- Excellent Customer Service orientation, with the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Experience in construction or real estate development, ideally with residential or reform projects.
- Strong business development and relationship-building skills, including negotiation and networking.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English and Spanish required, additional languages (German, Serbian) are a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Ibiza, with a hands-on approach to overseeing projects and operations.
- Relevant university degree (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management) or equivalent professional experience.
