The team designs Innovation Sprint Programs and supports AI-driven innovation management, providing tailored tools, portals, and campaigns that enable organizations to accelerate their open innovation strategies.
Role Description The Open Innovation & Corporate Venture Consultant is a full-time hybrid role based in Barcelona, with the flexibility to work partly from home. The consultant will design and execute open innovation and corporate venture initiatives for clients, including opportunity scouting, technology evaluation, and partnership development. Daily responsibilities include conducting market and technology analyses, facilitating innovation workshops and design thinking sessions, and supporting the creation of innovation roadmaps and venture pipelines. The role also involves managing open innovation challenge campaigns, preparing client presentations and reports, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure impactful, measurable outcomes. The consultant will contribute to thought leadership, continuously refine methodologies, and help enhance Innoget’s innovation accelerator offerings.
Qualifications
- Strong innovation consulting capabilities, including experience advising organizations on open innovation and corporate venture strategies.
- Proficiency in innovation management, such as managing portfolios, pipelines, and structured innovation programs for corporate clients.
- Robust analytical skills to assess technologies, markets, business models, and potential partners, and to translate insights into clear recommendations.
- Hands-on experience applying design thinking principles to structure workshops, ideation sessions, and solution-development processes.
- Consulting skills encompassing client relationship management, stakeholder facilitation, and delivery of clear, actionable presentations and reports.
- Commercial Acumen: Proven track record in securing contract renewals, cross-selling/upselling advisory services, and acquiring new corporate accounts within B2B or consulting environments. Skilled at balancing operational delivery rigor with commercial growth targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, innovation, engineering, or a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Energy Systems, or related fields), or equivalent practical experience. High curiosity and confidence navigating diverse scientific domains—
- Communication & Languages: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English (Spanish or other European languages are a strong advantage).
- Experience with corporate innovation, venture building, or startup ecosystems is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment, manage multiple projects, and adapt to evolving client needs.
