Full Stack Java Developer - EY GDS Spain - Hybrid

As a member of our team in the EY GDS Spain office in Malaga, you´ll have a chance to extend your knowledge & experience by working on interesting projects with the newest technologies and approaches. Your key responsibilities

As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will be responsible for building robust, scalable applications across the back-end and front-end stack. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable software solutions that align with business goals.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications using Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
- Build and maintain responsive front-end components using Angular and/or React.js
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs to support data-driven, service-oriented architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, UX/UI) to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Identifying and resolving issues in SAP processes, ensuring data consistency and system integrity
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and design patterns
- Integrate and optimize applications with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application reliability
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle including planning, analysis, design, implementation, and support
- Continuously learn and apply emerging technologies to enhance application performance and maintainability.

Skills and attributes for success

To succeed in this role, you should bring a solid foundation in full stack development, a proactive mindset, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in Java programming with a strong grasp of object-oriented design principles.
- Practical experience with the Spring ecosystem, particularly Spring Boot for building RESTful services
- Solid front-end development skills using Angular and/or React.js frameworks.
- Ability to design, implement, and consume REST APIs, ensuring clean, scalable integrations.
- Hands-on experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Understanding and application of software design patterns and industry best practices.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- A Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Good organizational and analytical skills.
- Experience in developing and integrating RESTful web services and working with relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Fluent in English and Italian.

Ideally, you´ll also have
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
- Experience in international environments.
