We are looking for a Lead AI Engineer to own the technical direction of AI systems across Finom and lead the engineers who build them.

This is a leadership role from day one. You will set the technical and quality bar, lead a team of AI engineers, and stay hands-on in the code. You have done this before — we are not looking for someone stepping into technical leadership for the first time.

You will build AI services for Finom customers, and internal platform solutions that allow other teams to ship AI capabilities of their own. You take architecture responsibility for the services you and your team develop, along with the alignment that comes with it — translating between business intent and technical reality, and challenging product decisions when they are wrong.

This is not a research role. It is a hands-on engineering leadership role focused on production-grade AI capabilities that create clear value for customers and the business.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead a team of AI engineers — set direction, review designs, and grow their technical scope through review, pairing, and design guidance
• Own the architecture for the services you and your team develop — and write down the decisions, tradeoffs, and rejected alternatives so they can be reviewed and challenged
• Build and ship AI-powered customer and internal solutions using LLMs, RAG, tool calling, workflows, and agentic patterns
• Own AI systems end to end — problem framing, implementation, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration
• Develop scalable and reliable inference pipelines with strong attention to latency, cost, security, and observability
• Set the evaluation and quality bar — offline evals, online signals, failure analysis, and continuous improvement loops that other teams adopt rather than renegotiate per project
• Design AI systems with auditability, model governance, and EU AI Act obligations built in from the start rather than retrofitted
• Drive AI platform and tooling decisions that improve reuse, speed, and consistency across teams
• Partner with solution managers, domain teams, and engineers to integrate AI into real workflows rather than isolated demos
• Tell a product stakeholder when the thing they asked for is the wrong solution, and be persuasive about the right one
• Negotiate scope and sequencing with domain teams that have their own roadmaps and no obligation to yours
• Decide what to stop doing — deprecate, simplify, or kill approaches that the evidence no longer supports
• Shape the roadmap rather than only execute tickets

We're looking for a skilled Mid-Level Data Engineer for one of our clients (TOP Startup) to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and backend services that ensure clean, reliable data across the organization.

As a Mid-Level Backend Engineer on our Tech Team, you will design, build, and optimize the data pipelines and backend services that keep clean, reliable data flowing across the entire organization. You will own the full lifecycle of data ingestion and transformation work — from understanding a business requirement through to production deployment — and directly shape the backend infrastructure that powers our data-driven decision-making at Flanks.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple disparate sources into our core systems.

About The Role

What are we looking for:

We are looking for a Java Backend Engineer to join the engineering team with outstanding software development talent proven by great work results/experience. Somebody that cares about code quality and not just get things done, but get things done right.

If you're smart, have great energy, can't think about a system without a CI/CD pipeline and you want to thrive in a fast paced environment, we are in sync.

What would you do at Fever?

During your first month at Fever (Onboarding period):

You’ll join a structured onboarding program designed to help you ramp up smoothly. During this period, you will:

• Meet your buddy and team, and get to know Fever’s culture and ways of working.
• Set up your local environment and become familiar with our based stack, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Learn about our architecture and observability tools while contributing small improvements and fixes.
• Have your first code running in production and a clear understanding of our delivery flow and processes.
• By the end of the onboarding, you’ll be ready to join your long-term squad and start contributing to larger initiatives.
  
  

After 3 months at Fever:

You’ll be confidently collaborating and delivering at full speed. You will:

• Design and implement end-to-end features within your squad.
• Participate in architectural discussions and propose improvements across our services and APIs.
• Work with event-driven systems and focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Data, and other Engineering teams to enhance our platform and developer experience.
  
  

By your 6th month at Fever:

You’ll be fully established as a key contributor in your team. You will:

• Take ownership of core components and help evolve their architecture.
• Lead by example through code reviews, design sessions, and mentoring.
• Contribute to best practices in areas like scalability, observability, and system design.
• Drive continuous improvement and have a visible impact on how we build high-performing services at scale.
• Become an expert of your domain, using business context and technical excellence to drive strategic initiatives forward
  
  

About You

Must have skills:

• Strong knowledge on good practices, testing and design patterns
• You are proficient in business English
• You know how to deliver code from development to production
• Experience with RESTful APIs (implementation and consumption)
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  
  

We use these technologies, so it would be a plus if you have experience in:

• Java (J2EE/ Java 25)
• Spring / Spring Boot frameworks
• REST APIs
• NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes environments
• Used to working with tools like Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline
• Exposure to Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ or Agile methodologies

About The Process

Está formado por un equipo multidisciplinar de profesionales de primer nivel, incluyendo Arquitectos Software, Big Data y de Datos, Data Scientist, desarrolladores especializados en Frontend, Backend y Full Stacks, expertos en UX, y especialistas en plataformas Cloud, dando soporte tanto a necesidades internas de la compañía como a proyectos para terceros. En este centro se ha desarrollado y se gestiona un stack completo de Big Data que facilita el trabajo y análisis con grandes volúmenes de datos de forma rápida e intuitiva, lo que facilita la obtención de Insights monetizables por parte de los usuarios del mismo.

Perfil: profesional con 3 - 5 años de experiencia. Requisitos:

• Ingeniería Superior: Telecomunicaciones, Informática, Matemáticas o similar.
• Experiencia en tratamiento de grandes volúmenes de datos, en entornos tradicionales o Big Data.
• Conocimiento en marcos ágiles / scrum y éxito comprobado trabajando en un entorno ágil.
• Conocimientos en Python.
• Experiencia en desarrollo de modelos analíticos, machine learning, data mining.
• Integración de sistemas.
• Bases de datos, tanto NoSQL (Elastic Search, MongoDB,...) como relacionales (Postgre, SQL Server...)
• Herramientas de gestión de configuración e integración continua.
• Metodologías ágiles.
• Nivel alto de inglés
