Job Description:
An opportunity for Industrial Means Quality Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in TABLADA (Sevilla).
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Machines. Jigs & Tools and automatisms at Airbus DS and Global Supply during the E2E process starting at the development until the end of the life cycle.
- You will participate in Concurrence Engineering providing inputs on Critical to Quality features and APQP analysis.
- You will ensure the implementation of contract Customer Quality Requirements into the industrial means work package level and check that Industrial Means specifications contain all the applicable quality requirements.
- You will ensure the capability according to technical specification of the industrial means for the intended use.
- You will be responsible for performing periodical views of the industrial means and for managing Non Conformances process, supporting the application of lessons learned elsewhere.
- You will carry out periodical inspections measurement in Metal Sheet and Superplastic Tooling.
- You will drive and execute transversal projects: Planning, business case, budgeting as required, scheduling and follow up and implementation.
- You will support E2E projects within the scope of industrialization as DDMS and continually look for opportunities of cost saving using digitalization, driving implementation cross site-BU as required.

Internship Job Description:
- Work in the Export Control team of Airbus Defense and Space, ensuring that the functional and business operations of Airbus Defense and Space in Spain are compliant with all applicable export control regulations.

A vacancy for a junior Aerodynamics Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe .

Tasks & Accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Design air vehicle external shapes and provide comprehensive aerodynamic models and data on performance, handling qualities and loads in steady and unsteady mode.
- Ensure that optimised aerodynamic solutions and data are delivered to customers on TCQ (time, cost, quality).
- Answer to aerodynamics program specification by developing & maintaining technologies, methods and tools and skills, knowledge and competencies relative to the Aerodynamics disciplines and all support activities or expertise required to meet the Programmes overall design and major components or systems integration needs throughout their life cycles.
- Contribute to the achievement of all vehicle projects aerodynamic and flight performance requirements within prescribed time, cost and quality objectives.
- Develop expertise in the appropriate use of numerical and experimental aerodynamic prediction tools.
- Acquire and develop aerodynamic technologies in a manner consistent with the Company Strategy.
- Link with external research community in the field of Aerodynamics and multi-disciplinary air vehicle design and optimisation.
- Link with all disciplines relevant for physics of flight, such as structures, loads, stability & control, mass properties, etc.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Educated to Master’s degree level in Aerospace Engineering (PhD level in Aerospace Engineering will be valuable).
- Experience in meshing and numerical aerodynamic prediction tools will be valuable.
- Experience in generation aerodynamic databases from experimental and CFD data will be valuable.
- Experience in CAD tools will be valuable.

AIRBUS and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), offer a full time programme that combines a Master in Aeronautical Systems Integration and an 11 month internship at AIRBUS facilities.
Please bear in mind that the recruitment process will take place between the months of April to June.
You will receive a grant of 875€gross/month during the internship.
The Master classes will take place in UC3M from Monday to Thursday in the afternoons.
What is the academic content of this Master?
- Module 1 - Fundamentals, to provide the basis, the support to understand the technologies, the methods, the requirement.
- Module 2 - Generalization, required to manage complexity and to understand the whole (systems thinking).
- Module 3 - Experimentation, to move from abstraction to implementation, innovation, invention.
- Final Project consists of the development of a complete system's integration project under the supervision of an industry or academic advisor. The project will make use of methods and tools learned in the MASI curriculum. The Final Project culminates in a written project report and an oral presentation.
During this internship, you will join AIRBUS engineering team and you will solve real integration problems under the supervision of a Company Mentor.
The MASI programme includes a paid internship at the AIRBUS-Spain facilities. The work shift is 35 hours/week from Monday to Friday (8:00-15:00) during eleven months (August excluded).

- Continuous support to aircraft preliminary design.

Job Description:
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Stress analysis of metallic, composite & hybrid structures, using Airbus Defence & Space methods, potentially from concept and structural development to certification and in-service maintenance.
- Sizing of the structural components, parts and assemblies from static point of view.
- Analyse and validate at component level for static strength and produce relevant strength margins or reserve factors according to validated and applicable Airbus methods & sizing processes.
- Perform detailed analysis in CAD/CAM or (software) implementation on component/ equipment/ mechanical/ software level to the specifications required.
- Continuous support/interaction with design and multifunctional teams during design process.
- Understand the overall stress environment for a system/ sub-system/ components/ equipment architecture, for analysis/testing to provide verification and validation.
- Supply outputs to support planning, organization and execution of testing, verification and validation.
