Managing Director (Focus People & Culture, Finance) (100%)

Your area of responsibility

− Lead and grow the mcsx office in Barcelona over the next two years, hiring 10-15 new colleagues annually, ensuring

sustainable scaling and strategic alignment with the maxon Group.

− Define, implement, and oversee core administrative processes — including Accounting, People & Culture, and internal

operations — in compliance with both local regulations and group-wide standards.

− Act as the primary point of contact for all administrative and operational matters, supporting colleagues with clarity,

responsiveness, and reliability.

− Foster a vibrant, collaborative, and innovation-driven culture, reflecting the spirit of maxon and energizing the team.

− Ensure seamless onboarding and integration of new employees, including training, equipment setup, and formalities.

− Collaborate closely with leadership in Sachseln and other global locations to align goals, share knowledge, and drive

cross-site initiatives.

− Represent mcsx internally and externally, contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational development.

− Have proven experience in managing and scaling teams, ideally in a tech or innovation-driven environment.

− Are confident in setting up and running administrative functions — from HR and finance to legal and compliance — in

an international context.

− Thrive in a dynamic, multicultural setting and know how to nurture, adapt, strengthen a strong team culture evolving from 4 to 40 people.

− Are a natural communicator and connector, able to support colleagues with empathy and clarity while keeping

operations running smoothly.

− Are passionate about innovation, collaboration, and creating a workplace where people feel energized and

empowered.

− Are fluent in English and ideally Spanish or German, and comfortable working across borders and time zones.

− Want to shape the future of a new strategic hub that supports IT, R&D, digital, and sales functions for maxon.
