As Unilabs Facilities Manager you will lead the development and execution of long-term facility management (FM) strategies, encompassing preventative maintenance, building lifecycle management and space optimisation and work with the country teams to implement change across an international portfolio. As a visible, adaptable, and values-based leader, you will support the Global Head of Real Estate and play a crucial role in driving forward improvements in our estate.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the FM function in a dynamic business across 15 countries. The successful candidate will be motivated by the prospect of devising and implementing a region wide FM strategy delivering best in class, efficient and consistent services to the markets. This will involve developing the FM capability across the portfolio including effective vendor partnerships.
You must have strong leadership, influencing and collaboration skills to be able to motivate and lead in a customer centric environment across an international portfolio, together with managing senior stakeholder relationships and partnering with other functions including Retail and Finance.

Core accountabilities:
- Review how FM services are currently procured and delivered in Unilabs and develop and implement an FM strategy
- Drive operational improvements in the delivery of soft and hard FM services, ensuring that all facilities are optimised for operational efficiency, employee experience and sustainability
- Implement pro-active maintenance strategies in line with industry technical standards and manage the lifecycle of building infrastructure, ensuring that facilities are safe, compliant and operational at all times. Build robust maintenance and refresh programmes
- Establish strong, country specific and/or region wide vendor relationships. Pro-actively manage vendor performance and ensure relevant KPI's and SLA's are in place across all contracts. In collaboration with Procurement, devise and implement a vendor strategy to support FM service provision across the full international region
- Assume full accountability for the international region facilities operating budget. Partner with finance through the budget planning cycle and also management against the annual budget seeking cost efficiencies without a detrimental impact on service levels
- Partner with key contacts in the countries to share best practice, leverage resource and deploy best in class technology. Use analytics from data and metrics across the global portfolio to drive service delivery improvements and efficiency
- Lead sustainability and energy management initiatives to reduce emissions and energy use in accordance with corporate goals and work with key stakeholders to develop Unilabs Sustainability Statement and lead practices and initiatives
- Act as technical FM expert for Unilabs and drive a culture of collaboration, ownership and transparency. Foster continuous learning and professional excellence
- Work with the Global Head of Real Estate to identify key CAPEX requirements and lead the planning and execution of short and long-term facilities projects and contracts, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
- In partnership with the markets, deliver key facilities projects providing significant improvement to the employee experience, increase productivity and yield corporate wide savings
- Demonstrable track record at a senior-level of delivering FM services across a large multi-site organisation, preferably in the healthcare sector with a European portfolio
- Proven track record of managing multiple stakeholders, ensuring all parties are aligned and working towards operational excellence
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
- Dynamic, professional and resilient with a hands on approach
- Strong financial and analytical skills, good commercial acumen and an understanding of business and finance
- Good understanding of effective corporate real estate management strategies
- Skilled negotiator, problem solver and team player
- Ability to work with a broad range of individuals at varying levels, both internal and external
Qualifications:
- Degree in building, engineering or construction - minimum 15 years PQE
- Membership of a professional body (BIFM, MCIOB, MRICS, IFMA or equivalent)
