Company Description Yakumanka by Gaston Acurio is a restaurant concept that celebrates the pairing of authentic Peruvian cuisine with high-quality products from the Iberian coasts. Inspired by the traditional popular cebichería of Peru, the restaurant focuses on generous dishes and a warm, informal atmosphere. The menu highlights seafood flavors and creole aesthetics, offering guests a distinctive culinary experience with a taste of the sea. Team members join an environment that values culinary excellence, hospitality, and respect for Peruvian gastronomic traditions.
Role Description The Floor Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Barcelona, responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations. This role includes coordinating service, managing reservations and guest flow, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for every guest. The Floor Manager supervises and supports the service team, provides ongoing training, and helps maintain high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and presentation. Additional responsibilities include handling guest feedback, collaborating with the kitchen and bar teams, monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations, and assisting with opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with a focus on delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Excellent Communication skills to coordinate teams, interact with guests, and support smooth service.
- Operations Management experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, including shift coordination and floor supervision.
- Training skills to onboard, coach, and develop front-of-house staff.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or floor management role in restaurants or hotels.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards; familiarity with seafood and Latin or Peruvian cuisine is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in Spanish and good command of English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm, professional approach in busy or challenging situations.
