Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a PhD in alternative protein ingredients titled "the Application of Ultrasounds in Biotechnological Processes for the Obtention of Functionalised Alternative Protein Ingredients". The location for this research position is in Girona, Spain. We seek a PhD candidate with skills in food technology and microbiology, highly motivated to perform experiments related to ultrasound-assisted biotechnological processes for the obtention and functionalization of protein ingredients, to analyse nutritional, structural, and techno-functional properties, as well as to develop and design functionalized ingredients and foods. The PhD candidate will have access to different training activities, including an international stage, to enrich his/her scientific knowledge, to broaden skills and capabilities, as well as gain multidisciplinary expertise

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold one of the following degrees:

Master’s degree in Food Science and Technology, Biological sciences, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or similar.

• To be eligible to access a doctoral programme according to the requirements of Catalan universities, i.e., accrediting between 60 and 120 ECTS credits at the official university master's degree level or equivalent.
• Not to have a previous PhD degree
• Candidates who have been chosen for an interview with the Selection Committee, should bring or send a certified copy of the degree and/or master's, as well as the academic record showing the marks of all subjects studied.

Desde Adecco estamos en búsqueda de un/a Técnico/a de Laboratorio, para importante empresa de biotecnológica la zona de TRES CANTOS, con incorporación inmediata. 

Las funciones principales asociadas a este cargo son:

Microbiología, Técnicos/as bioquímicos/as, moleculares e inmunológicas:

Recepción y registro de muestras biológicas.

Preparación, aprovisionamiento y mantenimiento del stock de medios de cultivo, reactivos y material.

Siembra, recuento e identificación de aislados.

Realización de ensayos bioquímicos/as y moleculares, p.ej: PCR y RAPD.

Extracción de ADN de muestras biológicas de distintos orígenes.

Realización de ensayos inmunológicos tanto de multiplexing como por ELISA.

Registro de los resultados obtenidos.

Además, de participar de diferentes actividades asociadas al Sistema de Gestión de Calidad de la empresa.

Requisitos
Requisitos:

Titulación superior en ciencias de la salud o ciencias y/o grado superior en Técnico/a de Laboratorio en Nutrición, Análisis Clínicos o similares.
Experiencia en actividades técnicos/as de laboratorio de al menos dos años.
Disponibilidad completa

Contrato de sustitución de duración indeterminada debido a su propia naturaleza.
Horario:
Por la mañana de 8:30-13:45 y 14:15-17h
Por la tarde: 12-13:45h y 14:15-20:30h
Salario según convenio Industria Químico/a.

Here Is What You Need

• Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences field
• Having obtained your last academic title related to the role up to 3 years ago
• Experience with laboratory equipment and procedures in quality control
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
• Ability to write clear technical documents
• Pharmaceutical quality control and stability experience is a plus
