Job Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for growing market share and revenue with assigned accounts. This person is also responsible for establishing and building relationships with assigned customers, promoting the sale of BL products and services to assigned accounts, and utilizing field background expertise to match customer need with applicable solution. The Sales Account Manager optimizes sales opportunities through in-depth knowledge of client activities and plans and communicates customer activity and sales opportunities through effective use of sales business systems/processes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with executive-level decision makers. Strengthen customer satisfaction and loyalty through personalized engagement
- Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders. Engage early in the customer buying process to understand needs and tailor solutions.
- Serve as the main point of contact in all matters related to client concerns and needs
- Drive strategic territory and account planning to align with Annual Business Plan objectives. Identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities to exceed targets.
- Build, Review and Execute Opportunity Pipeline. Develop comprehensive strategies for sustained client account development together with the wider sales team.
- Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients
- Lead/Manage direct sales and tender processes
- Conduct regional reviews of the opportunity pipeline
- Prepare and negotiate Sales Proposals
- Collect Market Activity and Market Size Intelligence
- Provide support for receivables management and assist on the resolution of billing disputes
Essential Requirements:
- You have completed a technical degree at master’s level in the field of petroleum engineering, chemical engineering or have a comparable experience
- You have previous professional experience in sales account management
- You have previous experience in a technical position with a good knowledge of the overall oil and gas industry.
- You are an inner-motivated, creative and dynamic person
- On the technical side,
- you understand the full E&P lifecycle and have a solid knowledge on upstream operations
- You have a good understanding of the energy market and understand the full value chain
- You are familiar with the SLB digital offering
- On the account management side,
- You have the right balance between a hunter and a farmer mindset
- You are an objective-driven professional with excellent communication skills, both in English and Spanish (mandatory).
- You are a proactive, creative, and active lister with a good business acumen and business intelligence
- You master the B2B sales process and are confident in owning the sales lifecycle from A to Z.
- You are experienced in managing a wide range of clients and able to negotiate
- You can apply the SPIN Sales Methodology and conduct consultative and value selling
- You are familiar with standard sales systems like CRM, C4C or Microsoft Dynamic
