A leading international insurance group with a strong acquisition track record is looking to expand its European M&A team. The business is fast-growing, dynamic, and highly acquisitive, with a strong presence across the UK and Europe. The Dublin-based team focuses on opportunities in the Iberian market and plays a key role in the group’s broader European strategy.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity for a recently qualified finance professional to gain hands-on deal experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

You will work as part of a small, high-performing M&A team based in Dublin, supporting the identification, evaluation, and execution of acquisitions across Spain and Portugal. The role includes:

• Supporting the full M&A lifecycle (deal sourcing, financial analysis, due diligence, integration)
• Building financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, comparables, etc.)
• Preparing investment papers and presentations for senior leadership
• Collaborating with external advisors (legal, financial, tax)
• Supporting post-deal integration processes
• Regular interaction with stakeholders across Europe

The Person

• Newly or recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) with 0–2 years’ post-qualification experience
• Strong academic background and foundation in corporate finance, transaction services, or M&A
• Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written) – essential
• Experience working on M&A or transaction processes (even as a junior team member)
• Financial modelling and analysis skills, with good attention to detail
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders
• A proactive, driven mindset and willingness to work in a fast-moving, international environment
