We are seeking a VP of Engineering to lead our engineering organization, drive execution, and scale our technical operations. As a key leadership figure, you will own team management, execution, and operational excellence, working closely with the CTO and the CPO to align technical strategy with business goals.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Engineering Execution & Delivery: Own agile processes, sprint planning, and release management to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
• Team & Talent Leadership: Define org structure, hire top-tier engineers, and foster a culture of ownership and collaboration.
• Operational & Financial Oversight: Manage engineering budgets, optimize cloud costs, and drive vendor selection.
• Technical Quality & DevOps: Continuously improve best practices for CI/CD, security, scalability, and incident management.
• Metrics & Reporting: Track and report key engineering KPIs to executive leadership.

• Strong background in software engineering, DevOps, and system architecture at scale, serving millions of daily users.

What your future position looks like:

• You will play a role in the design and development of our solution, on both functionally and technically sides.
• Your toolset will include Django (Python 3.11), React (Js and Native), PostgreSQL15, DynamoDB, Redis and more.
• Producing top-notch code for our back office will be a key responsibility.
• You'll also actively participate in defining and implementing new features within the development team.
  
  
  

You will be based in our office in Paris, and the first month you will be trained in Barcelona (all costs covered by Bsport). You will enjoy working within an internal team of 25 people, consisting of Tech, Product, QA and Data experts, directly surrounded by our Senior Leads and CTO.

Our stack is fully automated with push-to-deploy on both frontend and backend. We use Kubernetes and AWS, and our CI is self-hosted. Our methodology is based on agile principles, with weekly releases to production and staging to iterate, gather feedback, and drive progress.

You will be a good fit to join us if you:

• You are a master student in engineering, computer science or any equivalent degree from a top rated engineering program in France
• You are based in Paris as it’s required to be on-site
• You are looking for a final year internship from 4 to 6 months with possibility to switch to full-time
• Have professional proficiency in English (French is a plus)
• Must have working or practical knowledge of JavaScript or Python
