We are looking for a highly motivated Data Analyst Intern to join our team in Barcelona. This role sits within the team that focuses on optimizing Criteo’s operating model, providing data-driven insights and automation to improve processes. You will work closely with key stakeholders, developing Tableau dashboards, analyzing data, automating reports, and contributing to decision-making at scale.

Everyday you will:

• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards to monitor key performance indicators, ensuring stakeholders have access to clear and actionable insights.
• Write SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform data from various sources to support reporting and decision-making.
• Automate reporting processes using Python, optimizing data workflows and reducing manual effort.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, uncover inefficiencies, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across projects.

Who You Are:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, etc.).
• Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and dashboard creation.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
• Knowledge of Python for automation and data processing is a plus.
• Analytical Thinker: You enjoy working with data, identifying trends, and solving complex problems.
• Detail-Oriented: You have a structured approach and ensure accuracy in data and reporting.

What You´ll Do:

The Retail Media EMEA Analytics team, part of the rapidly expanding Criteo Retail Media business, leverages our grand set of shopper data to design and develop actionable insights for our Retailer and Brand clients. We bring the analytical perspective onto the business and provide recommendations based on high quality data analysis and strong understanding of our industry and products. We leverage our unique position to provide our commercial teams and clients with visibility into shopper behavior, market trends and product performance that can´t be found anywhere else.

Criteo´s high-growth business model brings both opportunities and challenges. This position requires working with large sets of data and a variety of stakeholders to solve complex business problems by thinking strategically and proposing innovative solutions. The ideal candidate functions with minimal oversight and has the ability to learn new concepts quickly.

- Mine massive data sets and turn them into understandable and actionable insights
- Build scalable analytic solutions using state of the art tools of Criteo analytics stack (Hadoop, Vertica, PySpark...)
- Develop innovative analytical approaches to measure Brands & Retailers´ performance from design to presentation of results, leveraging all our expertise in Data Science (statistical thinking, A/B testing, bootstrapping, data visualization...)
- Frequently interact with other teams (R&D, product, commercial teams...) and clients to share data-driven recommendations and insights
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of Criteo Retail Media products and technologies as they evolve

Who You Are:

You are passionate about data and want to work with leading edge technologies in online industry:
- You have at least 2 years´ experience in Data Science or Data Analytics
- Master´s degree or higher in a quantitative field (Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, etc.)
- Fluency in the core toolkit of Data Science/Data Analytics: SQL is required, Python is a real asset (master most common data libraries: pandas, numpy...)
- Outstanding analytical skills: passion for translating data-speak into relevant, compelling stories
- A background in the digital industry or consulting is a plus
- You have the combination of technical skills, passion for learning, and the soft skills to work with all personality types in a dynamic environment
- You are fluent in English

What You'll Do:

The Campaign Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and execution of digital advertising campaigns across the group over several brands. You will work closely with stakeholders both internally (Account Strategists) and externally (some of our highest spending clients) to see campaigns through from planning stages, to post-campaign reporting and analysis of performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Custom Support for highest spending clients in close collaboration with the Senior Account Strategists (AS). You develop your knowledge on an ongoing basis of portfolio of the Senior AS’s that you support and contribute to the growth of accounts.
• Provide operational, efficient & accurate campaign delivery recommendations and be the lead point on execution.
• Proactive client communication & you will join weekly calls and QBRs which will be led by the Senior Account Strategist.
• Lead on first-level client response for reporting and short-term optimizations
• Monitoring performance, often on 3rd party attribution
• End-to-end optimisation of campaign budgets, targeting, tactics, creative to meet and exceed clients objectives.
• Offer strategic recommendations to drive revenue & product expansion
• Technical implementation of ad campaigns with clients’ KPI’s in mind.
• Inventory management and custom reporting for clients
• Lead execution on new campaign launches
• Proactively evaluate, analyse & troubleshoot campaigns, anticipate main seasonality trends, identify and follow up on any ongoing issues.
• Ability to take insights from various data sources to inform campaign recommendations and contribute to whole strategy
• House updates: opportunities on new solutions & contacts

What You´ll Do:

Within Finance Transformation you will join the Data Governance team composed of highly motivated data specialists and focused on following main missions:
- Define and implement a data governance framework where principles, policies, roles and responsibilities for data stakeholders are defined and contribute to maximize business outcomes, operational efficiency, data quality and access to insights
- Drive the design of the functional data model (in particular: Client, Product, etc.) with an optimal balance between process efficiency, BU specificities vs. Core model, business model evolutions, and company reporting requirements
- Operate data governance performing key actions such as keep critical data dictionary and their ownership up to date, produce regular data quality scorecards and coordinate cleaning actions

As a Data Analyst, you will support the data governance team with their ambitious roadmap, managing the implementation of data quality reports: business needs understanding, technical design, development, tests and release:
- Perform complex data analysis in SQL/Python to identify incorrect data pattern, define population, prioritize them, identify workarounds to enrich data and propose corrective actions
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and alerts to business users in order to help them identify incorrect data and to follow correction
- Working closely with- IIT team in charge of the evolution of the data lake in order to improve its reliability
