What’s the Job?
The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a Front Desk Agent at InterContinental Club, you’ll be the trusted point of contact for our most valued guests, ensuring a seamless, personalized, and elevated experience at every stage of their stay. You’ll not only handle transactions, offer local insights, and anticipate every detail of a friction-free visit — you’ll also create the warm and sophisticated atmosphere that makes Club InterContinental a true home away from home for our VIP guests.
Your Day-to-Day
- Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable Club InterContinental experience.
- Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities, and share ways to enhance their stay.
- Ensure smooth check-in and check-out experiences — verifying IDs, issuing keys, and managing safety deposit boxes.
- Stay one step ahead of guest needs — record and act on preferences, and handle messages, requests, questions, and concerns.
- Be a trusted and discreet point of contact for all Club guests, resolving any issue with empathy and efficiency, and escalating when needed.
- Take ownership of guest complaints and ensure resolutions exceed expectations.
- Maintain full awareness of daily events, VIP arrivals, and special occasions, ensuring personalized touches throughout the stay.
- Ensure the Club InterContinental Lounge and Front Desk areas are always immaculate and inviting.
- Occasionally perform waiter duties during Club Lounge shifts, providing seamless service and continuity of experience.
What We Need From You
- Excellent communication skills – you’ll be approachable, empathetic, and professional with every guest interaction.
- Strong problem-solving skills – you see challenges as opportunities to create memorable moments.
- Guest service mindset – you understand and embody True Hospitality in every gesture.
- Fluency in Spanish and English – additional languages are highly valued.
- Flexibility – night, weekend, and holiday shifts are part of the role.
- Previous experience – ideally at least 6 months in a front desk, concierge, or guest service position, preferably in a luxury environment.
- Familiarity with Opera PMS is an advantage.
