ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College, Soto de Viñuelas, the founding school of the King’s Group, was established in 1969 and is widely recognised for its academic excellence and holistic approach to education. We are seeking an energetic and committed Head of Primary PE & PE Teacher to lead our Primary Physical Education provision and contribute to PE teaching in the Secondary School up to IGCSE level, starting August 2026.

The successful candidate will combine strong classroom practice with strategic leadership to inspire students, promote wellbeing and physical development, and contribute to the broader life of the school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and coordinate the delivery of high-quality Physical Education across the Primary School.
• Teach PE to Primary pupils and selected Secondary classes (up to IGCSE).
• Develop and implement schemes of work and assessment in line with school and curriculum requirements.
• Organise and promote sporting events, inter-house competitions, and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure continuity of progression in Physical Education
• Contribute to the school’s pastoral and co-curricular programmes, modelling the values and ethos of King’s College
  
  

• A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field, plus a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching PE in a Primary setting and up to IGCSE level.
• Demonstrated leadership experience or readiness to lead a department.
• A passion for promoting physical activity, health, and wellbeing.
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• A collaborative, enthusiastic approach and commitment to high standards
