Description
We’re currently looking for an Onboarding Consultant to join our growing team and help us drive impactful change in the sustainability space. If you're passionate about working with clients from various industries and facilitating their adoption of cutting-edge software solutions, we want to hear from you!
As an ESG Onboarding Consultant you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth and successful onboarding for clients of all sizes—ranging from mid-sized companies to DAX-listed corporations. You'll work closely with our Customer Success team and contribute to continuously improving our onboarding process. You will also help clients implement and leverage our software solutions to comply with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and other ESG compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the onboarding of new and existing clients for ESG solutions, covering EUDR, CSRD, Carbon Footprint Reporting, CBAM Compliance, and other regulatory areas.
- Guide clients through the implementation process, ensuring smooth adoption of our software and clear understanding of responsibilities.
- Conduct enablement sessions and address client queries to facilitate seamless integration.
- Work closely with technical experts and external consultancy partners to customize solutions based on specific client needs.
- Develop and deliver training materials, webinars, and best practice guides to empower clients in using our software effectively.
- Continuously improve onboarding processes to boost efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Partner with the Customer Success team to establish strong relationships and ensure long-term client engagement.
- Experience in sustainability consulting or relevant experience in management consulting, supply chain management, or IT project management.
- Strong background in consulting on complex projects, particularly within sustainability, with expertise in supply chain management or IT transformation/implementation.
- Proven ability to navigate challenging client scenarios and manage diverse stakeholder environments.
- Familiarity with ESG regulations and frameworks such as EUDR, CSRD, CBAM, or Carbon Footprint Reporting is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- A passion for contributing to the growth of a software scale-up within the ESG and sustainability sectors.
- Fluency in English (C1) and French (C1).

This Business Development Manager role is dedicated to ESG. Our osapiens HUB puts us at the forefront of the sustainability movement. This enables companies to fully comply with the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and the Whistleblower Directive, to calculate their corporate carbon footprint and, in the future, to comply with the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive.
As a Business Development Manager within ESG at osapiens, you will be championing lead generation initiatives within the realm of corporate sustainability. By researching target companies, initiating product pitches, and nurturing qualified leads, we aim to expand our reach and empower organisations to embrace sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on target industries and market segments to identify potential business opportunities, with a focus on the UK market.
- Utilise various prospecting methods, including networking events, online platforms, and industry publications, to uncover new leads.
- Customise messaging to resonate with the specific needs and pain points of each prospect.
- Implement strategic timing for outreach efforts to maximise engagement and response rates.
- Provide timely and personalised follow-up communication to nurture leads and maintain their interest.
- Collaborate closely with the Account Executive team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads into the sales pipeline.
- Continuously update and maintain accurate records of all interactions and activities in the CRM system.
- Analyse data and metrics from CRM reports to track lead generation performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration
- An understanding of industry dynamics, customer behavior, and market entry strategies
- Experience in business development and/or lead generation for targeted outreach activities focused on new customer acquisition
- Proven experience in the UK market, including an understanding of industry dynamics, customer behavior, and ideally market entry strategies
- Proven experience in the SaaS industry is essential
- Exceptional communication skills that allow you to communicate with external and internal stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills and openness to work in our international environment, combined with your outgoing nature
- Self-motivated and proactive individual with a team player attitude, eager to learn and contribute to the team's collective goals
- English proficiency required: near-native or native level
