About Us:
As a part of the dynamic Spanish hostel chain, The Central House, we believe in providing more than just a place to stay – we offer a gateway to discovering Spain’s rich culture. Nestled in the heart of a modern Gracia district , our hostel is a hub of exploration and connection. Our chain of hostels extends across Istambul, Portugal, Spain and Morocco, and now, we're on the lookout for a dedicated Front Desk Agent to help us continue offering outstanding service to our diverse guests.
Your Role:
As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first smile that welcomes our guests and the foundation of our hostel's operations. Your key responsibilities will encompass:
- Warmly greeting guests and facilitating seamless check-ins and check-outs.
- Sharing insights about local attractions, events, and must-visit spots.
- Handling reservations, addressing inquiries, and fulfilling guest requests with a genuine desire to assist.
- Ensuring accurate and organized cash transactions while maintaining a tidy front desk area.
- Collaborating closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to uphold guest satisfaction.
- Resolving guest concerns promptly and efficiently, ensuring an uninterrupted and enjoyable stay.
- Playing a pivotal role in maintaining a positive online reputation through exceptional guest interactions.
What We're Looking For:
We're in search of an individual who exudes enthusiasm, warmth, and an authentic passion for hospitality. Here's what we hope to find in you:
- Exceptional communication skills and a welcoming demeanour.
- A proactive problem-solving approach and a strong desire to assist guests.
- A detail-oriented and organized work style.
- Proficiency in basic computer software (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).
- A team player with a knack for effective collaboration.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in customer service (bonus points for hospitality experience).
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; familiarity with other languages is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of the MEWS programme highly valued.
