At Hays, we are collaborating with a Spanish company founded in Barcelona. The company designs, manufactures, and distributes smart charging and energy management solutions for electric vehicles.

We are currently looking for a Netsuite Business Application to join the Business Applications team within the IT department. The role will focus on building, extending, and integrating enterprise applications that support critical business processes, with NetSuite as a key platform. You will work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, and other business teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions across the business applications landscape.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Design, develop, and maintain JavaScript-based solutions for enterprise and business-critical applications, applying software engineering best practices for quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Build and enhance NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript 2.0/2.1, including User Event, Client, Scheduled Scripts, Suitelets, and RESTlets.
• Customize NetSuite workflows and user interface components using SuiteFlow and SuiteBuilder, and create tools that support the daily operational needs of business teams.
• Develop and maintain integrations between NetSuite and other business systems, including CRM, HRIS, data platforms, and third-party SaaS, using REST/SOAP APIs, SuiteTalk, and middleware platforms.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions, troubleshoot issues across applications and data flows, and improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and application owners; provide technical guidance to junior team members when needed; and stay current with NetSuite releases, JavaScript best practices, security, and DevSecOps principles.

What are the requirements?

• Experience as a Software Engineer or JavaScript Developer, with strong expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+) and API-driven development.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite in a business applications or ERP environment, including SuiteScript 1.0, 2.0, and ideally 2.1.
• Experience with Saved Searches, NetSuite data model fundamentals, SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, and enterprise integrations using REST, SOAP, SuiteTalk, or similar technologies.
• Experience supporting enterprise or business-critical systems, as well as Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams. Experience supporting internal stakeholders is highly valued.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP modules such as Finance, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, or Inventory is desirable. Familiarity with Workato, Celigo, Dell Boomi, or similar platforms, and NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer Certification, would be an advantage.
