Position Overview
As the Product Owner - Jobs and Skills, you will spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions that manage the primary taxonomies of our People & Culture function, including jobs, skills, and related master data. You will be instrumental in integrating these technologies into Workday and other specialty solutions to optimize data flows and enhance organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Vision: Define and drive the product vision and roadmap for jobs and skills technology, aligning with the overall People & Culture strategy
- Technology Architecture: Architect solutions that store and manage jobs, skills, and related master data, ensuring seamless integration within Workday and other specialty systems
- Data Management: Develop a robust understanding of the data models that underpin jobs, skills, and talent acquisition workflows, ensuring they support automation and efficiency
- Product Implementation: Lead new product implementations, ensuring alignment with business goals, stakeholder needs, and best practices in technology adoption
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including People & Culture, Digital, and business leaders, to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet organizational needs
- Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to skills-based approaches, automation, and talent management technologies
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to communicate product progress, gather feedback, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure successful outcomes
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Experience: Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role focused on jobs and skills technology, with a strong track record of implementing products such as Eightfold, Beamery, SkyHive, Cornerstone, or Workday Skills Cloud
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of data models used to store and automate workflows for jobs, skills, and talent acquisition
- Project Management: Experience with new product implementations, demonstrating strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset to inform decision-making
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
