We are hiring a Lead Data Governance Engineer with focus on data governance policies, processes, standards, and monitoring in compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory frameworks, e.g., GDPR, DPA, ISO, etc. A successful candidate will develop Python-based tooling to automate the operations of an internal data mesh solution such as data labeling and quality metrics in a data, access management and data security best practices.
The Data Governance team in the Commercial Systems unit has a mission to enable a secure and well-governed access to comprehensive data sets originating at many internal and external data sources formed in a data mesh. The team works with well-known open-source data governance tools such as Trino and Ranger, defines and executes data governance processes, and democratizes the data at Canonical.
Location: This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region.
The role entails
- Define, monitor, and execute data governance policies
- Design, implement, and maintain tooling for automated data mesh operations

In your role, you will…
- Deploy, operate and optimise data scanning/data discovery solutions (BigID) in Kubernetes environments
- Design and build CI/CD pipelines for security solutions
- Develop and maintain API automations to streamline security processes
- Integrate data security solutions with the broader IT landscape
- Improve metrics and monitoring to ensure the reliability of our security infrastructure
- Utilise existing documentation, source code and logs to understand complex interactions between systems
- Provide security guidance on new products and technologies
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
- Significant knowledge of major cybersecurity concepts, technologies and standard methods, with a willingness to dive into new areas

- Deep expertise with several of the following areas:

For Spain the base salary range for this position is between EUR 42,000 and EUR 70,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.

- Realizar revisiones de planos y modificaciones basadas en observaciones y sugerencias, contribuyendo así a la mejora continua de los procesos de diseño.
- Realización de presupuestos y ofertas.
- Participar en reuniones de equipo para presentar avances, discutir desafíos técnicos y proponer soluciones efectivas.
- Asegurar la correcta gestión de la documentación técnica y el archivo de planos, facilitando su acceso y consulta a otros miembros del equipo.

Requisitos:
- Formación en en FPII de delineación o CFGS en Desarrollo y aplicación de proyector de construcción y/o proyectos de urbanismo o similar.
- Experiencia de al menos un año como delineante, preferiblemente en empresas del sector del metal.
- experiencia en manejo y diseño de estructuras metálicas.
- Conocimientos de Solidworks, Autocad e Inventos.
- Permiso de conducir.
