JOB DESCRIPTION

For our Madrid office, we are looking for bright recent graduates in Economics, Business, Finance or Management Engineering with previous relevant internships who will hold the position of Tech Investment Banking Analyst for a six-months contract to be evaluated for a potential permanent contract (in the past, 18 out of 21 six-months contracts have been promoted in permanent contracts).

The candidate, working alongside the company mentor, will be part of one or more teams working on fundraising and M&A transactions on the best European startups and scaleups, facing clients and investors.

Expected start date: January 2026 (flexible on candidates’ needs).

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

With a young and dynamic team (have a look at our smart working week pictures on LinkedIn and on the website!), the Tech IB Analyst will be involved in all stages of the process, performing tasks such as:

• Business Plan: preparation, maintenance and review;
• Valuation: economic-financial modelling and valuation through DCF and multiples;
• Competition and market analyses: with focus on industry trends, total addressable market calculation and competitive scenario analysis;
• Drafting of fundraising and M&A docs: teasers, pitch decks, info memorandum, both for domestic and international investors;
• Supporting senior team on relationship management: current and prospect clients and developing relationships with Italian and international investors.

The position requirements are:

• Previous relevant experiences ideally in VC, M&A or IB;
• Excellent familiarity in the use of the Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
• Significant study or work experience abroad;
• Outstanding educational track record;
• English and Spanish: fluent;
• Italian or French is a plus.

SELECTION PROCESS

Screening

• Apply via LinkedIn sending your CV including your educational track record, specifying your graduation grade or current exam average and expected graduation date;
• Only CVs that meet the requirements detailed in the announcement will be considered;
• Those selected for the second round will be asked to submit a short video in English of up to 90 seconds, and only candidates who send the video will be considered for the interviews phase.

Interviews

• 2 introductory interviews with senior members of our team to assess motivation and personal fit with Growth Capital;
• Final round with 3 interviews by our senior team, including a case study, aimed at the assessment of the candidate's skills and growth potential to successfully integrate him/her into the team.

¿Qué estamos buscando?

Buscamos un Asociado/ una Asociada de Banca de Inversión que será responsable de liderar la ejecución de mandatos de asesoramiento financiero (fusiones, adquisiciones, desinversiones, procesos de capital, etc.), así como de participar activamente en la elaboración de materiales comerciales para la captación de nuevos negocios, aportando conocimiento sectorial y capacidades analíticas avanzadas.

Tus principales responsabilidades serán:

Ejecución de Mandatos:

• Elaboración de valoraciones de empresas (DCF, múltiplos de cotizadas comparables, transacción precedentes).
• Preparación de documentación de procesos: teasers, cuadernos de venta, cartas de proceso, cartas de oferta, calendarios, etc.
• Análisis de información de data rooms y documentación confidencial en procesos de due diligence.

Originación de negocio:

• Realización de presentaciones de marketing (pitchbooks) para captar mandatos.
• Acompañamiento a banqueros comerciales en visitas a clientes.
• Apoyo activo en ideas de originación y propuestas sectoriales.

Análisis estratégico y sectorial:

• Estudios de mercado, identificación de targets o compradores potenciales.
• Uso de bases de datos (Capital IQ, Mergermarket, FactSet, etc.) para screening de compañías.

Relación interna y formación:

• Interacción fluida con otras unidades de negocio y soporte al cliente interno.
• Mentorización y apoyo a analistas/junior del equipo.

¿Qué valoramos de tu candidatura?

• Grado/Licenciatura en ADE, Economía, Derecho o Ingeniería.
• Valorables estudios de postgrado (Máster en Finanzas, MBA).
• Conocimientos sólidos en:

-Fusiones y Adquisiciones (M&A).

-Valoración de empresas.

-Mercados de capitales (ECM).

-Capital Riesgo y Financiación Estructurada (a nivel generalista).

• Deseable experiencia en herramientas de modelización financiera.
• Nivel experto de Excel y PowerPoint.
• Nivel de inglés mínimo: C1/Advanced.
