Our team

All technology is written and maintained by a multi-discipline engineering team of around 900 people globally. This includes server-side, client-side and mobile engineers working closely with UX experts, copywriters and designers.

We follow a Kanban-like approach, using Google docs and Asana to specify and manage work; Github, CircleCI and Terraform Enterprise as part of an immutable-infrastructure, continuous delivery pipeline; and Loggly, Sentry and Cloudwatch to measure performance and monitor production.

Some of our coding conventions are open-source .

Our team

Our technology
On the server-side, we mainly use Python. Most of our websites are powered by Django, Django-REST-framework and GraphQL (Graphene).

We use AWS heavily, employing most of the "Hashistack" (eg Packer, Consul, Terraform) as part of a continuous deployment pipeline. See, for example, Django, ELB health checks and continuous delivery.

Client-side, we use React, Redux and SASS; our mobile apps are built using native code or React Native.

What You'll Do

• We have lots of difficult design challenges to solve. The Spanish energy market is complicated, outdated and process-heavy - there's an awful lot of domain modelling that we need to get right. Strong attention to detail is essential
• We have difficult technical problems to solve. With the advent of smart meters, we'll soon be processing millions of meter readings a day. We need the right technology in place to handle this smoothly as well as feeding data into a machine learning pipeline that models and predicts consumption
• There's a great opportunity for disruption in the Spanish energy market. The big suppliers still dominate, but are not exactly popular. The energy landscape is changing as we move to more dis-aggregated forms of generation, with less predictability, more dynamism and smarter technology. • You'll be working for a company that’s fighting climate change. Our parent company is the largest investor in solar generation in the UK, and are funding wind and anaerobic digestion. Descripción

* Diseño y evolución de la plataforma de datos: Definición y mantenimiento de arquitecturas de datos modernas basadas en Snowflake, orientadas a escalabilidad, rendimiento y mantenibilidad.

* Desarrollo de pipelines de ingesta de datos: Implementación de procesos batch (y potencialmente near real-time) para la ingesta de datos desde sistemas transaccionales hacia la plataforma analítica.

* Gestión de capas de datos (Bronze / Silver / Gold): Desarrollo y mantenimiento de modelos de datos siguiendo el enfoque por capas, asegurando limpieza, historificación y orientación al consumo analítico.

* Desarrollo de backend y APIs: Construcción y mantenimiento de servicios backend (FastAPI / Django) para la gestión de datos operativos y su integración con la plataforma de datos.

* Optimización de rendimiento y costes: Diseño de modelos y procesos eficientes que minimicen tiempos de carga, latencia y consumo innecesario de recursos.

* Calidad del dato y controles: Definición e implementación de controles de calidad de datos entre capas, garantizando consistencia, integridad y fiabilidad de la información.

* Gobierno y documentación del dato: Documentación de activos de datos, modelos, KPIs y linaje técnico-funcional, garantizando trazabilidad desde fuente a consumo, alineada con herramientas corporativas como Collibra y Confluence.

* Soporte a consumo analítico: Preparación de capas Gold optimizadas para herramientas de visualización como PowerBI y para otros casos de uso analíticos.

* Gestión de incidencias y mantenimiento: Resolución de incidencias relacionadas con pipelines, modelos de datos y backend.

* Automatización y reducción de procesos manuales: Identificación y automatización de procesos para reducir la dependencia de tareas manuales y aumentar la fiabilidad operativa.

¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?

* Perfil técnico experto en Data Engineering y Backend.

* Tecnologías principales: Snowflake, Python, SQL, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Databricks

* Frameworks backend: FastAPI y/o Django.

* Experiencia en modelado de datos analítico (OLTP vs OLAP, Bronze / Silver / Gold).

* Conocimiento en orquestación y automatización de pipelines.

* Experiencia en calidad y gobierno del dato.

* Capacidad de trabajo con equipos técnicos de alto rendimiento (Data Science, BI, Tech) y colaboración estrecha con negocio.

¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?

El/la candidato/a seleccionado/a deberá cumplir los siguientes requisitos:

• Experiencia demostrable al menos 4 años en desarrollo con Python (Django) y Vuejs.
• Conocimientos sólidos en desarrollo de backend y frontend.
• Capacidad para trabajar en equipo con metodologías ágiles como Scrum o Kanban.
• Habilidad para identificar y solucionar problemas técnicos de manera eficiente.
• Conocimientos en control de versiones (Git u otros similares).
• Valorable experiencia previa en el sector de Technology & Telecoms.
• Buen nivel de inglés técnico, tanto escrito como hablado.
