Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the protection, confidentiality, and integrity of the organization´s network infrastructure and communication systems. This role involves implementing advanced security measures, monitoring threats, and responding to incidents to maintain a secure and reliable technological environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Network Infrastructure Protection:
- Implement and manage firewalls, network segmentation (VLANs), and secure protocols (TLS, IPSec).
- Monitor network traffic to prevent unauthorized access.

- Data Confidentiality and Integrity:
- Apply encryption to data in transit.
- Prevent interception attacks and ensure communications remain unaltered.

- Authentication and Access Control:
- Enforce strong authentication (MFA) for authorized users.
- Define and implement identity and access management policies.

- Incident Monitoring and Response:
- Utilize tools to detect anomalous traffic, DDoS attacks, and protocol exploitation.
- Coordinate rapid response to security incidents.

- Protection Against Social Engineering and Phishing:
- Implement user training programs.
- Configure systems to block fraudulent communications.

- Technical Support and Advisory:
- Provide consultancy and guidance to users and technical teams.
- Assist in maintaining network, virtualization, and server infrastructure.

Qualifications

Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or equivalent in Communications.

- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in user advisory/consulting and technical support.
- Advanced knowledge in networking: routing, switching, VLANs, MAC, port security, stacking.
- Advanced knowledge in operating systems and virtualization.
- Experience with data services: Internet access, VPN, SD-WAN, WiFi networks.
- Security experience: Firewalls (Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower), configuring rules, interfaces, and traffic analysis.
- Familiarity with CISCO Call Manager, Windows Server, VMware, Veeam, Wasabi.

- Certifications (preferred): CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Dell (servers/storage).
- Languages: English proficiency. Spanish will be a plus
- Work Location: Hybrid at client office in Malaga
