JUNIOR SPACE SATELLITE OPERATIONS ENGINEER Join our team and build the furure of space technology
We´re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for a Junior Space Satellite Operations Engineer; with passion in what you do, talented and experienced; to lead our Mission Control Center team and help build the future of space technology.
What you will be doing?
- Ongoing monitoring and operations planning for in-orbit LEO satellites and payloads.
- Design and preparation of operations for various missions.
- Preparation of procedures and sequences for satellite platforms and payloads.
- Telemetry analysis to monitor the health of constellations, satellites, payloads, etc.
- Preparation and execution of LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase) and commissioning campaigns.
- Preparation and execution of routine and contingency operations.
- Support for final on-ground testing of satellites.
- Collaboration with the software team to develop and test new tools.
- Evolution of satellite operation manuals and procedures.
- Collaboration with the systems engineering team for new mission design and platform evolution.
- Interaction with customers and other stakeholders such as launch providers and ground station networks.
The individual must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Knowledge of common spacecraft architecture and subsystems.
- Some experience in LEO small satellite operations, design, and/or AIV.
- Knowledge of STK (Systems Tool Kit).
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure (real-time/console operations).
- Methodical and comfortable following established procedures.
- Experience with cubesat platforms and/or subsystems.
- Experience with ECSS Packet Utilization Standard services.
- Knowledge of ECSS and/or CCSDS standards.
- Knowledge/experience with ground stations and ground station networks.
- Hands-on experience in real-time operations and operations planning.
- Work remotely 40 % of the time
- Flexible start/finish times; reduced intensive working hours on Fridays and in summer Monday to Friday.

We´re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for a Quality Engineer; with passion in what you do, talented and experienced; to join our Quality team with the addition of a Quality Engineer to ensure that our products and services maintain the highest standards.
What you will be doing?
- Participating in the development of the organization's Quality policy.
- Managing ISO 9001 certification: maintenance, audits, and follow-up actions.
- Conducting internal and external audits.
- Reviewing processes and standards, and identifying customer requirements.
- Preparing, reviewing, and controlling quality plans, technical instructions, and procedures.
- Managing quality indicators and improvement proposals.
- Identifying and monitoring risks, anomalies, and non-conformities.
- Defining and implementing Quality Assurance Plans for Products/Projects.
- Providing quality support to other areas of the organization, such as Production or AIV (Assembly, Integration & Verification).
- Performing quality inspections of processes, products, or suppliers.
- Participating in the future transition towards ISO 9100 certification.
- The selected candidate should have a good command of English.
- Previous experience in similar positions.
- Experience with quality systems (ISO 9001).
- Degree in Electronic, Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, plus a Master’s degree in Quality.
- Knowledge of ECSS standards (European Cooperation for Space Standardization), the 9100 standard (aerospace-specific quality), or IPC standards (Electronics Industry).
- Knowledge of dimensional metrology.
- Formal training in Quality Management Systems.
- Work remotely a % of the time to be defined with the Area Manager.
