Internship Position Overview:
Join our dynamic Inertial MEMS Applications team as an intern and dive into the world of motion control, navigation, and asset monitoring technologies. Our team works with cutting-edge MEMS devices including accelerometers, gyroscopes, and inertial measurement units (IMUs), and integrates them into real-world applications using both hardware and software platforms.
This internship offers hands-on experience with embedded systems, user-space software (Python, MATLAB) and inertial test equipment. You’ll work closely with a senior applications engineer and collaborate with a broader international team.
Through this role, you will contribute to solving real-world engineering challenges faced by customers, supporting application development and product integration across global industries.
Job Responsibilities
- Learn to use existing evaluation tools and documentation quickly and effectively.
- Develop simple, clear demonstrations of key product features.
- Conduct experiments to validate product performance and demo concepts.
- Incorporate team feedback into improved methods and tools.
- Document observations and results for future reference.
- Publish tools and methods on internal and public platforms (e.g., Wikis, GitHub).
- Suggest improvements to tools, documentation, and collateral.
- Assist in designing and testing evaluation boards.
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with embedded development environments (e.g., STM32CubeIDE, Arduino IDE).
- Experience with Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis, signal processing and scripting.
- Knowledge of LabVIEW is a plus.
- Comfortable using oscilloscopes, soldering tools, and general lab equipment.
- Experience with Cadence or any other electronic design software is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of mechanics and dynamics is a plus, as it helps in understanding how inertial sensors work and how physical motion translates into measurable signals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Creative, curious, and hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Strong communication skills — both written and verbal, also in English.
- Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn.
- Willingness to experiment, iterate, and improve.
