Are you a technologist Software Engineer with a first class education looking for an opportunity to progress your career, working on complex and interesting systems in an impactful role?

You could be joining a FinTech start-up, the company has secure backing and an established Hedge Fund client as a partner.

As a Senior Software Engineer you will collaborate with a small, talented team to deliver new features on the core trading platform within a Microsoft environment using the latest versions of C# .Net to produce high quality code. You'll take ownership of projects and see the results of your work quickly.

Location:

You'll be based in Madrid on a fulltime basis (Monday to Friday).

About you:

• You have studied at a top 10 university in Spain (or top 200 globally) and have achieved 9.0 and above in Bachillerato and 7.0 and above in University - Computer Science or Mathematics preferred
• You're a technologist who enjoys collaborating and problem solving, working on complex, distributed systems
• You have expertise with modern C# .Net (will also consider other OO languages e.g. Java, C++, Python but you must be happy to use C# going forward)
• You have a strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices and have experience across the full software development lifecycle
• You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms
• You're excited to join a start-up in a role that you can shape and influence

Descripción

• Definir y evolucionar la estrategia de datos de la compañía, asegurando que la plataforma basada en SQL Server sea escalable, eficiente y capaz de dar soporte a las necesidades actuales y futuras del negocio.
• Modelar y poner a disposición la información necesaria para iniciativas de IA Generativa, incluyendo entornos RAG, agentes, embeddings y tecnologías de búsqueda semántica sobre bases de datos vectoriales.
• Reimaginar la forma en que los usuarios consumen información, impulsando la transición desde el reporting tradicional en Power BI hacia experiencias apoyadas en IA, asistentes conversacionales y aplicaciones de autoservicio.
• Establecer estándares y buenas prácticas que garanticen la integridad, gobernanza, seguridad y disponibilidad de los datos en toda la organización.
• Desarrollar y gestionar procesos de integración, automatización y orquestación de datos mediante herramientas como n8n, optimizando flujos operativos y reduciendo tareas manuales.
• Actuar como enlace entre las áreas técnicas y de negocio para transformar necesidades operativas en métricas, indicadores y soluciones analíticas de valor.
• Detectar nuevas oportunidades donde el uso de datos, inteligencia artificial y automatización pueda generar eficiencias, mejorar la toma de decisiones o aportar nuevas capacidades a la compañía.

¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?

• Aproximadamente 5 años de experiencia en áreas de datos (Data Engineering, BI o Analytics).
• Al menos 2 años aplicando IA generativa en entornos reales.
• Formación en Informática, Telecomunicaciones, Matemáticas, Ciencia de Datos o disciplinas afines.
• Experiencia sólida con SQL Server: modelado dimensional, procedimientos almacenados, ETL, optimización y explotación de datos.
• Conocimiento práctico de LLMs, RAG, embeddings, bases de datos vectoriales y agentes de IA.
• Experiencia con herramientas de visualización de datos, idealmente Power BI.
• Dominio de Python para procesamiento de datos e integración con modelos de IA.
• Capacidad para comprender procesos de negocio y traducir necesidades funcionales en soluciones técnicas.
