Role Summary
We are looking for a Social Copywriter with strong writing skills and a deep understanding of modern skincare and premium lifestyle brand voices. This role focuses primarily on writing, adapting and refining copy for social content across multiple markets (US, Canada, Europe). You will support Creatives, Art Directors, Strategists and Social Media Managers by crafting clear, premium, social-native copy that is aligned with insights, brand tone, scientific trust and PRC requirements. Ideation may be involved, but writing is the core of the role.
Responsibilities
• Write platform-native copy for TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube (hooks, captions, on-screen text, short scripts).
• Adapt existing concepts into brand-consistent, premium copy with the right tone for modern skincare and lifestyle brands.
• Write accurate, PRC-aligned skin science content based on trustworthy brand sources and vetted unbranded sources (studies, dermatology guidelines, approved claims).
• Support the creative team by refining scripts, captions, VO lines, storytelling moments and copy frameworks.
• Work closely with Strategists to translate insights into copy, without being the main owner of creative ideation.
• Collaborate with Art Directors to ensure written language fits the visual direction and brand identity.
• Ensure all copy is aligned with PRC, legal, regulatory and claim requirements for skincare and healthcare brands.
• Understand global trends and local market behaviors to adjust tone, language and references appropriately.
• Source cultural references, linguistic cues, trending phrases and platform language norms to inform writing.
• Support evergreen storytelling by maintaining consistent brand voice across ongoing content.
• Edit and polish internal copy, ensuring clarity, accuracy and cohesive tone across markets.
• Work with Social Media Managers to ensure copy meets timing, relevance and platform best practices.
• Apply performance learnings to improve hooks, length, clarity and structure of future copy.
• Maintain a proactive workflow that supports fast-turn production timelines.
Mandatory Copy Skills
• Ability to write scroll-stopping hooks and concise, modern skincare language.
• Strong understanding of social pacing, lingo and audios.
• Writing with SEO awareness for TikTok search language and Pinterest discovery formats.
• Ability to create short-form storytelling structures based on insights provided by Strategy.
• Experience simplifying scientific or dermatological language into compliant, PRC-ready copy.
• Ability to maintain multiple tones across brands without losing consistency.
• Understanding of accessibility: alt text, readability cues, on-screen text clarity.
Bonus Skills
• Ability to script simple talent or creator-facing videos.
• Comfort sourcing strong copy references, linguistic patterns, and relevant cultural nuances.
• Experience writing for Pinterest search behavior.
• Familiarity with AI copy workflows (metadata, tagging, alt text, prompt-based writing).
Success Criteria
• Copy is premium, modern, and aligned with skincare and lifestyle brand language.
• Writing is consistent, compliant, and sharp across formats and platforms.
• Global and local cultural context is reflected naturally in tone and language.
• Copy supports creative concepts clearly without requiring heavy ideation.
• The brand voice feels relevant, clean, and insight-aligned every day.
Minimum requirements
• 4+ years writing for social media (beauty, skincare, lifestyle or fashion preferred).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating social media storytelling.
• Ability to adapt copy across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest.
• Understanding of social tone, platform behavior and evolving content language.
• Experience working with PRC, regulatory and claims review.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Native English.
• Understanding of skincare and lifestyle brand language.
