Residence Advisor – EF Málaga

EF Málaga is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Residence Advisor to ensure that our student residence feels like a true ‘home away from home’ for international students.

About the role:

This is a live-in position, providing a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' experiences while benefiting from included accommodation.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure student rooms are clean, ready, and available upon arrival.
• Prepare registration documents and assist with check-ins.
• Meet and greet new students, escort them to their rooms, and introduce them to residence rules and community standards.
• Regularly inspect rooms and common areas to maintain high cleanliness and maintenance standards.
• Report and follow up on maintenance issues with residence staff.
• Be on-call overnight, conducting curfew checks and handling emergencies.
• Enforce residence rules, issue fines if necessary, and report concerns to the Residence Manager.
• Work closely with staff and management to resolve student issues.
• Organize and lead weekly activities to create a lively and engaging residence atmosphere.
• Escort students to school on Monday mornings.
• Remind departing students of check-out procedures and departure dates.

¿Cuáles serán tus funciones?

• Enseñar español para extranjeros, de 17h a 28h/semana, a todos los niveles de competencia desde A1 a C2 siguiendo el plan curricular y las pautas de la dirección académica del centro.
• Planificar y desarrollar todas tus clases.
• Realizar seguimiento de tus estudiantes: control de asistencia a clase, valoración del progreso semanal y sesiones de tutoría.
• Participar en las reuniones del departamento académico.
• Contribuir al desarrollo de los recursos académicos de la escuela.
• Ocasionalmente participar en actividades extraacadémicas diseñadas para ayudar a los estudiantes a usar su español en situaciones reales y en eventos del centro.
  
  

¿Qué requisitos debes cumplir?

Mínimos

• Ser hispanoparlante nativo/a.
• Licenciado/a en Filología. Preferente de Hispánica pero también se admitirán otras filologías, traducción o magisterio.
• Certificado negativo de delitos sexuales y 2 referencias laborales/académicas.
• Experiencia docente mínima de un año.
• Esta es una posición presencial. Se requiere vivir en la ciudad de Málaga o alrededores.
  
  

Se valorará:

• Máster Oficial de Posgrado en Profesorado de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria, Bachillerato, Formación Profesional y Enseñanza de Idiomas o CAP.
• Máster especializado en enseñanza de español como Lengua Extranjera (ELE).
• Experiencia docente internacional.
• Conocimientos de lenguas extranjeras.
