What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef within hotels, restaurants or resort environments.
• Professional training in pastry, baking or culinary arts is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, chocolate work, bakery production, and plated dessert preparation is advantageous.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point standards is preferred.
• Ability to organise and manage daily pastry production effectively.
• Creativity and strong attention to detail in pastry presentation and flavour development.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Previous experience within luxury hotels or high-volume operations is highly valued.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, in line with the rhythm of Destino Five Ibiza.
• Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English. Spanish is an advantage but not essential.
• Must hold the legal right to work in Europe, including any required visas or work permits, in full compliance with local regulations.
• Personally settled on the island with accommodation already arranged is a must.
• Brings a positive attitude that aligns with the spirit of The Pacha Group.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Supervises and actively participates in the daily production of pastries, desserts and bakery items, ensuring compliance with established recipes, quality standards and production schedules.
• Prepares and presents a wide variety of pastries, plated desserts and baked goods in line with the hotel’s culinary standards.
• Ensures consistency, quality and presentation across all pastry products delivered for restaurants, breakfast service, banquets and special events.
• Develops new recipes and contribute to the creation and periodic update of dessert menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
• Coordinates and supports the pastry team in daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production timelines.
• Plans and organises pastry mise en place and production requirements according to operational demand and event schedules.
• Monitors inventory levels of ingredients and raw materials, ensuring proper stock rotation and minimising waste.
• Monitors production costs and support efficient ingredient utilisation to maintain cost control within the pastry section.
• Ensures compliance with food safety, hygiene and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point standards at all times.
• Prepares pastry items and desserts for events, banquets and special services in accordance with operational requirements.
