What You Will Do
- Join the Powertrain Development Team, actively contributing to assigned projects and ensuring alignment with technical goals and client expectations.
- Propose engine settings and configurations that meet customer specifications, combining technical expertise with innovative thinking.
- Develop new engine control software strategies aimed at enhancing product performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Conduct engine calibration on prototype vehicles, including vehicle instrumentation, testing, and data analysis to optimize engine behavior.
- Participate in tuning trips under extreme conditions (cold, heat, altitude) for certification purposes, and prepare technical test reports, result capitalization, and project meeting dossiers.
- A proven track record in engine calibration on prototype vehicles and developing new engine control software strategies to enhance product performance.
- Engineering degree required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent skills in technical analysis and communication, essential for reporting and project collaboration.
- Strong competencies in autonomy and proactivity, with a collaborative approach and curiosity for complex technical topics.
- Knowledge of the automotive sector, especially within the Horse Powertrain business, and a passion for transforming the industry.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written; French will be appreciated.

Nature And Scope Of Responsibilities
Under the responsibility of the Manager, the buyer works at the heart of the Horse/Supplier network.
Within his/her management scope, he/she negotiates and ensures the provision of sustainable and efficient raw materials/services, in compliance with the QCDP (Quality Cost Delay Performance) objectives.
Significant activities
He/she is responsible for monitoring the contract throughout the life of the project (development, serial life and end of life) by being the key contact with the suppliers.
The buyer must guarantee the performance of its own scope within its convenience, negotiating changes in a dynamic of continuous improvement (price, quality, logistics, innovation, sustainability, etc.), respecting the various milestones for customer projects, while ensuring corporate social and environmental responsibility.
In the event of a dispute or drift in the implementation of the contract, he/she is responsible for proposing mitigation or action plan for orchestrating the convergence towards solutions in conjunction with the various internal and external actors.
Based on an expression of need, in connection with the strategy defined, the buyer/himself contributes to the process of raw materials outlook behaviors and Horse business impact.
Autonomy and freedom of action
In the life cycle of the contract and according to the objectives set by management, he/she is autonomous in the construction of the performance and its relations with the suppliers on its scope.
In interaction with different entities, he/she is proactive in solving problems in order to achieve its objectives.
He/she is involved in the supplier selection process, within the framework of rules and delegations of authority, with Manager guidance, who governs its scope.
In interaction with different entities, he/she is proactive in resolving problems associated with procurement activity.
Key Labour Relations
Daily interactions across all their activities:
- External: Global Suppliers
- Internal: Product and process engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and industrial strategy, finance-controlling departments.
Skills Required To Perform The Job
Hard skills: Strategic Sourcing (technical understanding on raw materials and automotive market trend), Contract Management, Negotiation, Cost Management, Supply Chain and Logistics Understanding, Risk Management, and Procurement Software Proficiency.
Soft skills: Assertive communication (active listening, clear articulation), relationship management (building trust with suppliers and stakeholders), collaboration (leveraging team and supplier input), negotiation (securing optimal terms), problem-solving (finding innovative solutions to complex issues), emotional intelligence, adaptability (navigating market changes and new tech), and demonstrating initiative.
Languages: Fluent English is mandatory. Spanish and/or Portuguese and/or French will be a differential.

- Additional technical complexity of the activity that may be related to:
- the structure of the Supplier Panel, implying a complexity of negotiation according to a growing or declining sector.
- supplier risk management (securing panel, presence of suppliers in difficulties, legal risks...)

What We’re Looking For
- Proven track record of leading large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementations, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Bachelor´s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong experience in process design, ERP integration, and global project management.
- Familiarity with digital supply chain tools (APS, MES, WMS, IoT, AI/ML).
- Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools

Lo que harás
Análisis del coste completo de la fabricación de productos para identificar posibles puntos de mejora, a través de comparativas con otros productos/procesos, identificando benchmarking y transversalización entre procesos de buenas practicas.
Analizar técnicamente ideas de mejora de costes producto y colaborar en la organización de Workshops de generación de ideas.
Analizar las herramientas de mejora de costes, comparativa de piezas, comparativa de costes.
Análisis técnico de piezas, mediante aplicaciones 3D, análisis técnico y de utilización.
Informatizar procesos y cálculos recurrentes, utilización de htas IA.
Utilizar procesos de estandarización de ideas generadas, para hacerlas accesibles y de fácil consulta para todos los actores de la cadena de valor en la fabricación de productos.
Lo que buscamos
Grado en Ingeniería Industrial, Mecánica, Electrónica, Eléctrica, Diseño Industrial, Informática, Aeronáutica, Química, Organización Industrial, Telecomunicaciones.
Idiomas: Inglés.
Aplicaciones informáticas: Paquete Office avanzado.
Lo que ofrecemos
