Job Description

You'll play a vital role in optimizing 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks within a dynamic team of experts. You’ll take the lead in analyzing and tuning network performance, ensuring KPIs are met and delivering outstanding service to our customers. Working closely with client engineers, you'll engage in troubleshooting sessions, conduct network audits, and implement activation plans. Your expertise will directly contribute to key discussions on network design and performance improvements. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Lead and execute radio network swap projects, including technology upgrades and vendor transitions (e.g., Ericsson to Nokia)
• Analyze and plan cell/site migration, ensuring coverage, capacity, and quality are preserved or improved post-swap
• Conduct RF planning and performance analysis before and after swap activities
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to develop and validate swap strategies and cutover plans
• Verify parameter settings for the swapped network
• Monitor KPIs and optimize network performance during and after the swap phase
• Generate technical documentation and reports on swap progress and site acceptance, challenges, and solutions
• Performance verification and analysis will be based on OSS KPIs and Geosynthesis report validation
  
  

Key Skills And Experience

Key must-haves:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field
• Fluent communication in Italian language
• Strong working experience on Radio Access technologies (planning & optimization) and swap projects
• Independent level on Nokia 2G/3G/4G/SRAN & 5G parameters, counters, and KPIs
• Proficiency in drive test data analysis and network optimization tools
• In-depth troubleshooting capability from analysis of network statistics under tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams.
• Experience with multi-vendor environments (Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson) is a strong plus
  
  

It would be nice if you also had:

• Experience with 5G swap projects
• Familiarity with OSS platforms and scripting (e.g., Python, SQL)
• Knowledge of GeoSynthesis solution

You will collaborate closely with Project Delivery Managers and technical teams, ensuring that site solutions are finely tuned to meet customer expectations. In a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will lead project ramp-ups, oversee subcontractor training, and manage site documentation with precision. Your expertise in radio telecom will position you as a go-to resource within the team, helping to identify opportunities for upselling and innovation during customer engagements. You will embrace the challenges of on-site supervision and issue resolution, all while fostering a culture of quality and efficiency. Your contributions will directly impact project success, making this role essential to our collective mission of delivering cutting-edge communication solutions. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Provides technical and site solution input to Deploy Services and Product Management during tenders and planning.
• Offers local project knowledge and Site Engineering expertise.
• Participates in customer pre-sales workshops as a Site Engineering SME; identifies up-sell opportunities and promote portfolio.
• Supports the Project Delivery Manager with site workflows and engineering processes.
• Finalizes technical site solution designs (Model Sites) in alignment with customer agreements.
• Leads Deploy Site Engineering ramp-up activities, including subcontractors’ enablement (License to Work).
• Delivers technical training and coaching to subcontractors per project plans.
• Manages subcontractors’ issues and provides support for installation challenges and customer requirements.
• Defines site survey and implementation documentation, roles, and acceptance processes with key stakeholders.
• Reviews Technical Site Survey (TSS) reports and addresses related issues; supports material management.
• Updates and adjusts technical site designs and installation guidelines as needed throughout delivery.
• Tracks and implements technical changes; ensures proper communication with project teams and subcontractors.
• Collaborates with Quality Manager on installation quality through audits and on-site reviews with customers.
  
  

Key Skills And Experience

• Fluency in Italian and English
• Expertise in radio telecom implementation projects (including new site builds and swaps)
• Hands-on experience with Nokia radio equipment, specifically Nokia AirScale BTS and related solutions (antenna systems, power systems)
• Background in technical training or coaching for subcontractors
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Italy
