About the Role

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you´ll be at the forefront of protecting our cloud infrastructure, developing and implementing security solutions that safeguard our digital assets. You´ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our cloud environment remains secure while enabling business innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and build detective or preventive controls and automated response solutions
- Automate tasks by consuming and building APIs
- Develop self-service tools and frameworks for enhanced security
- Improve metrics and monitoring to ensure the reliability of our security infrastructure
- Analyse existing documentation, source code, and logs to understand complex system interactions
- Provide security guidance on new products and technologies
- Explore and leverage modern technologies and their security features
- Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization

About the Team

Our team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance, and defining as well as advancing the company´s security strategy. As part of the Cloud Security Team, Security Engineers shape the security of Swiss Re´s public cloud domain and serve as the trusted advisors for security-related guidance on any IT project in the company. We specialize in technologies focused on public cloud security.

About You

You´re a security enthusiast with a passion for cloud technologies and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy staying ahead of emerging security trends. Your analytical mindset allows you to anticipate potential vulnerabilities and develop innovative solutions to complex security challenges.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Significant knowledge of major cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and standard methods with willingness to explore new areas
- Deep expertise in several cybersecurity areas including network and application security, identity and access management, and modern authentication protocols
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices, including usage of tools like Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps
- Hands-on experience in public cloud providers: AWS, Azure, Google, Alibaba.
- Experience in automation, coding and/or scripting using languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash, Golang, Python, Perl, Terraform or similar
- Familiarity with the implications of security standards in regulated environments
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, both spoken and written

These are additional nice to haves:
- Palantir software and/or services.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft, CISSP, CCSP, SANS GIAC or similar qualifications
- German or Chinese language skills
- Experience with endpoint or mobile security solutions

For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 42,000 and EUR 70,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant´s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.

About This Opportunity

We are looking for Junior Software developers in the area of 5G Core Network, with passion for building new functionalities related with 5G mobile data processing (especially, in the programming of open platform, real time and high-availability systems).

What You Will Do

You will work in a multi-functional team in the development of new functionalities for 5G User Plane.

Participate the full life-span of the software feature: from early phases (analyzing the solution and setting requirements), development phase (coding and testing), and final deployment on live network (supporting customer teams).

Be part of a multinational organization, with teams distributed in Spain, Sweden, and China.

You will bring

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, telecommunication engineering or related field.
• Willing to or being already proficient in programming of open-platform, real-time and high-available systems, as well as scripting.
• Programming in C, and at least one scripting language (i.e. python, shell/bash) on UNIX/Linux is required.
• Capacity to investigate and debug complex issues. Including performance tuning experience, troubleshooting, core dump analysis, etc.
• Cloud native software stacks and execution environments. Containers (i.e. Dockers).
• Good written and spoken English, confident working in international environments.

• Knowledge in operating system architectures and capacity to model scalable designs and solutions.

At L&H Solutions, we build and commercialize cloud-native (Azure-based) SaaS/PaaS solutions for Swiss Re Life & Health insurance clients. We offer a portfolio of over six products, including established offerings like Magnum with over 60 active clients worldwide, and innovative products such as UW Ease. We are a SW house within Swiss Re.

Our team consists of more than 150 technical professionals with multidisciplinary skills, located in multiple countries, working on these multi-regional, highly available solutions.

About the Role

Senior Cloud Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based solutions, primarily utilizing Azure Cloud (but other cloud platforms could also be Alibaba Cloud). The ideal candidate will drive new architecture design, architectural improvements, provide technical leadership, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, robust cloud services.

You will work closely with various teams to solve complex business challenges and mentor them in adopting cutting-edge cloud technologies.

Your responsibilities will be:

- Architecture Design & Optimization: Drive the design and evolution of scalable, efficient, and robust cloud architectures that simplify operations and reduce complexity.
