What You'll Do

✔ Lead the charge in the sourcing, evaluation, and procurement of explosives, warheads, and kinetic energy systems for UAV applications. 
✔ Assess and qualify suppliers based on technical capabilities, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing standards. 
✔ Collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to ensure explosive and kinetic payloads meet performance, integration, and safety requirements. 
✔ Drive innovation by scouting emerging technologies in high-energy materials, fragmentation mechanisms, and advanced detonation systems. 
✔ Ensure compliance with international ITAR, REACH, and aerospace safety regulations governing explosive materials. 
✔ Optimize cost and supply chain efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of reliability and safety. 
✔ Develop and execute testing protocols to validate the performance of explosive payloads in UAV applications.

What You'll Need

✔ Technical expertise in explosives & kinetics - Deep knowledge of high-energy materials, detonation systems, and fragmentation physics. 
✔ Experience with defense/aerospace applications - Hands-on experience working with warheads, missile systems, or UAV payloads. 
✔ Strong analytical skills - Ability to evaluate explosive compositions, shockwave dynamics, and impact forces for optimal UAV payload performance. 
✔ Regulatory expertise - Familiarity with export controls, ITAR, REACH, and NATO STANAG compliance for handling energetic materials. 
✔ Procurement & supplier evaluation - Experience managing technical suppliers in highly regulated industries. 
✔ Fluent in English - Technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration require strong communication skills. 

Nice-to-Have
➕ Experience working with DoD, NATO, or defense contractors. 
➕ Knowledge of computational modeling for explosive behavior (e.g., ANSYS Autodyn, LS-DYNA). 
➕ Experience with aerospace ERP systems (e.g., MSD). 
➕ Fluency in Dutch and/or Spanish is a plus.
